In short: nice and flat, shame about the toilets and the mug!! In full: Turned out very sunny the start was so cold, so many tops just thrown aside!! ended up running with mine round my waiste!! Date of review: April 1, 2007
In short: Lovely running along the river and nice to some sun In full: Definitely do it again. Good support and some really pretty bits so felt like a nice morning out. Chuffed with my time too - a good confidence booster pre FLM. Date of review: April 1, 2007
In short: Bit boring, not into doing laps.... In full: A fast course though with no hills! Did find the pace hard to judge as I couldn't work out what race everyone was in-felt harsh on some of the slower 8 milers-they were being overtaken a lot.Well organised and a nice sunny day eventually! In short: Doing my first breakfast run, I have to say that I really enjoyed it as I run but am not a runner, it had a good mix of terrain and scenery, the only down side was there was no pre race build up and nothing to put in my trophy cupboard Date of review: April 1, 2007
In short: Great prep for London, but expensive In full: Third time of doing this and as well organised as ever. Was again hoping for something a little more rewarding than a mug. I have no idea how much races cost to organise but still feel this is really expensive in comparison to others (Cranleigh 21 last week cost less than a tenner).
Gripes aside, stuck 6 miles on the front of this, so albeit an early start, was pleased to have racked up 22 miles by half ten.
Thanks to the organisers and chirpy water stations. Date of review: April 1, 2007
In short: Excellent as usual, apart from the predictably rubbish mug.... In full: ...and what's the point of a race that finishes outside a pasty and pie shop - only to find its closed - have a word, please. Date of review: April 1, 2007
