In short: A credit to the organisers In full: An excellently organised half in blustery conditions. Well done to all those marshals who braved the wind and kept cheering us on. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: Bigger and better every year In full: Another excellent start to the year, the race has expanded to a field of 2,000 without losing any of the things that make it a great race. Still feels like a friendly little race. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In full: A friendly, well organised race with good facilities for changing, parking etc. Many thanks to the organisers, marshalls and spectators who braved the blustery and occasionally wet conditions Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: Brilliant race - great organisation and lovely route In full: Great route - nice balance of challenge and fun. Wind was tough this year, but still beat my best for this course. Organisation was brilliant, and a big thanks must go to the marshalls, who had to put up with the wind and rain in parts, but still kept smiling! Great race organised by, and supported by the local community. Thanks. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: a great race made average by plastic cups In full: i thought everything was spot on exept the fact of being given out those stupid cups. pls get bottles next year, i wouldn't mind paying the extra £2.
bit to windy to hope for a p.b today but its def a p.b course.
nice medal, sports drink n chocolate at finish. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: Fairly tough, but well worth it In full: Very windy and undulating. It's a challenging race, but very satisfying. The climbs aren't too bad, as long as you've kept a bit in reserve and not run flat out. I managed a PB. The marshall's were great - I'm not sure if I'd like to stand in the middle of a road in violent winds for 2 hours being a human cone. The organisation is great, and I really appreciated the support from marshalls and local residents. Can't wait for next year. Date of review: January 22, 2012
