In short: Undulating, Plentiful Support, Great Organisation
In full: Fourth time of racing for me in what is a delightful event, love the support all the way round the course and its interesting undulations, this is a really well organised event and a great way to start the years calendar, something for everyone.

In short: Well organised and great value
In full: Really enjoyed this 2011 curtain opener. Really great organisation and although there was a bit of a hold up at the start it was brief. Loved the Buff have wanted one for a while. In the spirit of helping to suggest improvements I'd suggest bigger tags for the left baggage as the helpers could bearly read the tiny ones there. It would massively speed up reclaim. However that was a tiny improvement on an great and well organised run.

In short: Great start to the year and good organisation
In full: This is the first year I have done this race but I can tell I have been missing out. It was a good route and great scenery and very, very well organised (the park and ride scheme was a great idea that was run perfectly). The medal vas nice and the buff was worth the entry fee by itself. The only slight niggle I had was that the start was far too narrow and crowded, meaning it was slow to get going. This is only a minor niggle though. Overall this was a really good event and a great start to the 2011 season.

In short: Excellent well organised first race of the year
In full: Beforehand I thought the new start would cause a few problems but it didn't seem to cause too many problems and we were quickly out on the wide road. Big thank you to the organisers/marshalls/water station helpers for a great race

In short: A superbly organised race
In full: Absolutely loved this race. Yes the start was very congested but other than that it was seamless. The course was slightly easier than I anticipated as was expecting some tough hills at the 10/11 mile mark but they weren't too bad. There was a lovely atmosphere thanks to the marshals, supporters & fellow runners. I was so impressed with the timing chip in the race number, I was not convinced it would work but got a text with my race time within 45 minutes of finishing the race. Very happy with the commemorative buff, makes a nice change from T-shirts (which I never wear). Thanks Helsby.

In short: Great course, quite a few hills but not too steep, fantastic last 2m downhill finish
In full: The start was a bit congested but I'm not moaning.

Overall a great race, I managed a PB and really enjoyed the last 2 miles downhill - I got some time back for a change!
