In short: A great 20 mile preparation race for marathon training In full: For a first time race this was very well organised. A few more toilets would have been great but maybe runner turn out was better than expected. Cheerful and friendly marshalls, especially those on the water stops. Plenty of water stops and also great to see energy drinks and jelly babies this really is a plus on the longer races. All in all a great run and am keen to come back and do the 10mile as lots of pb potential. Sad to see one runner littering the aerodrome with empty gel packets, even after one runner had thrust a gel packet back at him!! Please keep hold of them and bin/drop at water point. In short: Lovely route on a glorious day In full: I echo the comments already made about the marshalls who were excellent - to hear the encouragement from several hundred yards was uplifting. I have never run 20 miles before, but the countryside was beautiful in the sunshine and it was a nice route. The one downside was some of the cars and the bike race that clashed. In short: The best organised I have run for some time. In full: A lot already said, VERY WELL organised, GREAT MARSHALS and WATER GIRLS. Challanging course that I had not run before, so the hilly bits did supprise me and my legs. Only had a few car drivers a bit pushy and one that nearly took my arm with it. Well Done to all who ran and ALL who helped. Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: All races need marshals like we had today In full: This was well-organised and a great race to take part in. The marshals were excellent (and had a lot of unhelpful drivers to deal with)- and especial thanks to the water girls at 2.5 and 7.5 miles, who were so encouraging! A great medal and a good goody bag to finish off - wonderful. Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: Good course, good race In full: An enjoyable race with PB potential because it's pretty flat - just a couple of tiny hills. The B2130 bit wasn't fun, particularly on the second lap with cars cutting in between groups of runners. But lots of smiling, encouraging marshals, sufficient feed stations and a good atmosphere at the end. The medal's different, too, and the bits and pieces in the goody bag are all handy. In short: A good 20miler before the Spring marathons In full: Nice course; on country lanes for approx 7.5miles and around the aerodrome for 2.5ish miles. A few short, sharp inclines to really test the legs. Aerodrome was very windy. A few more people helping at baggage drop would have eased queue, but credit to the organisers for delaying start by 10mins and communicating that well. Shame there were a handful of inconsiderate drivers on the route. Great encouragement from marshalls & at water stations. Nice touch to give out energy drinks/Jelly Babies and to have indoor changing rooms.

In short: Fanastic! In full: Thanks to the organisers for such a brilliant event. Initially a bit off by the prospect of 2 laps but the beautiful route made you want to go back for another view! It made my first 20 miler a very memorable and positive race. Special thanks to the friendly marshalls especially the noisy, cheerful and efficient girls at the entrance to the aerodrome and out on the course. And the weather - well it definitely must be the first day of Spring! Please repeat this great event next year - it should become an annual highlight! Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: Undulating windy course made a good marathon warm up race In full: Good race which was well organised. Only feedback would be some more signs on how to find Dunsfold. Windy on the airfield as always and a few hills on the route to keep you challenged. Friendly marshals. A good day out Date of review: March 14, 2010

In short: Lovely lovely 20 miler, with airplanes too ! In full: Great inaugural running of the Spitfire. HQ at Dunsfold aerodrome - Top Gear territory. 2 lap course - out through undulating country lanes for 7 ish, then 3 around the race track and repeat. Baggage dump a bit slow but sortable and secure. CHanging area indoors available too.Water stations frequent and well mannned, although the energy drink ran out fairly early at mile 15.Marshalls lovely, shame about the few inconsiderate drivers but there were a lot of runners on the road early on. Better in the second lap.Airfield sections great to run - flat tarmac with planes and helicopters to take your mind off the pain. All in all ran really smoothly for a first time - thanks Run to Live guys - you done good :) Date of review: March 14, 2010
