In short: well organised, nice to have an afternoon race
In full: Very well supported. Enjoyable route except for the long long hill & traffic calming bumps. Only 1 official water station though - the extra water provided by a small group of children was very welcome. Running round the school field at the beginning remineded me of games lessons

In short: Challenging quiet & scenic
In full: I thought change of route reduced the hill a little! Large numbers meant very squashed start - crowds and bollards made it more difficult. I was a little thrown by the zigzag finish. But great fun

In short: Well organised, great race, but oh those hills!
In full: Really enjoyed this race, hard work with all the hills and I'm sure some of them were vertical! Will be back next year

In short: Very well organised, nice location, good marshalling, no chance of a PB with that hill! Certainly do it again next year though.

In short: First race in two years. Despite thinking I hadn't done enough training really enjoyed the experience and came away on Cloud Nine
In full: The only thing I feel let it down was the momento/goody bag: my preference is for a t-shirt/mug but medals are ok (Ricky Road Run you get t-shirt and mug!) but I know it's for charity. As for the bag, a nearly out-of-date energy fruit bar and pack of chocolate buttons, plus a much paper as inserts in a Sunday broadsheet (not even a discout from Up & Running: I pity the poor sod who stuffed the bags. Took the high sheen off the gloss of what was a lovely afternoon. Oh yeah, the water wasn't obvious at the finish either.

However 11/10 to the Lions; marshalls at every conceivable point, even on the straight bits with no junctions. A big thank you.

Sorry for moaning, I know its a charity run; I did raise £110.

In short: Good local race for a worthy cause
In full: Remembered the hill this year and slashed five minutes off my time from last year. See you in 2005!
