In short: Excellent friendly race
In full: Great race. Lovely scenery, some nice challenging hills, but actually still a quick course. Very well organised, with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Look forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Great race. Great weather. Great cake!
In full: Excellent race. The weather was just right and the hilly first section was nowhere near as bad as I'd thought it would be (maybe having done the Seven Sisters both ways last Sunday coloured my impression!). Organisation was good and the Marshalls friendly and encouraging. Could have done with a couple of portaloos for the men, as well as a couple more for the ladies.

And afterwards...that bread and butter pudding was just superb. Hit the spot perfectly!

In short: First ever race. Tricky first 5k uphill, quite testing but fun.

In short: A classic race
In full: Once again, Terry and the Red Watch Crew have pulled it off with style. Chip timing for the firt time was impressive. Excellent atmosphere at the start with a repectfully observed minute's silence. The course is terrific as ever, but can catch out the unwary - the first 4km are up. This is a race where you must pace yourself carefully! However, once over the top mark at about 4.5km, you can let the legs go, and race down to the bottom of the hill (terrific views over the North Downs, and over the runners in front of you), for the last two or three km to the end. I had a great battle with three other runners, and came in a few seconds over 40 minutes...this course does have PB potential. I love this race - you see so many familiar local faces, and it's a bit of a festival. Brilliant local race. Thanks, and keep up the good work you lads!

In short: Excellent race
In full: Pretty much the perfect November run. Alpine climb for 4K then enjoy the views on the way down before tea and cake at the finish. Even a miniature railway for the kids. Both a great race and a great event. Excellent.
