In short: Worth a trip
In full: A tough course, but out of nowhere I pb'd by almost a minute, finishing in second place after a last kilometer burn-up.

Nice paper-weight / medal at the finish - looks better than the trophy for 2nd ;o)

Marshalled by large numbers in an efficient and friendly manner. Well done to the Striders for the excellent organisation.

In short: Well organised, a credit to the Striders
In full: I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much from this race, and initially it didn't start too well, queueing for a toilet that didn't have any toilet paper. But having replaced someone who dropped out, the organisers changed my identity with no fuss, and although the race start wasn't particularly scenic, the race soon opened out into beautiful undulating Essex lanes.
Other plus points were a well manned drinks station, accurate kilometer markers, an excellent goody bag, loads of marshalls, and a trophy, that even my wife admired when I got home.

Hardly surprising that the race was a sell out.

In short: Great value, flat, quick, good marshalls and atmosphere
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed the run, very flat compared to other 10k's I've done knocking 2 mins off PB. Great gift and goodie bag at the end (Leeds castle 10k was twice the price to enter with nothing to show for it)

In short: An extremely enjoyable race. The marshalls were a credit to the race organisers with their uplifting comments during the race. It was so good and so popular it makes me wonder why the Striders dont have more than one race a year?!

In short: brilliant value, nice trophy and goody bag. Friendly and enthusiastic marshalls. First 10k race entered and am still buzzing as did much better than I expected. Well worth it for a first event or any event. Nice route and very well organised.

In short: Well organised, friendly feel, and great goodies at the end!
In full: This was a really great race to do, have missed out 2 previous years as tried to turn up on day and get in but its "sell out" status shows its popularity, quite deservedly. I was s bit nervous about the rumoured 'hilly' course but it was fine, maybe a little 'challenging' at the start but attainable, even beat my Southend 10k time!! Really well organised, good facilities, (great goodies) definately do it again, congratulations to the Striders!
