In short: Comments From Race Director - Mark
In full: Thanks for the feedback I will look at the directions and have them changed for next year, I thought the map would have been enough but it is useful to know that it isn't sufficient.

Glad to see that most people had a good experience again, my apologies to the few people who didn't get water at the finish more water will be available next year. Sincere apologies to Samantha, I think the person who said run faster meant it tongue in cheek (but not very helpful), and I suspect it was my non-running mum, I will have her sent to a home. Seriously though I am sorry. Thanks to all for running and hope to see everyone next year.

In short: Well organsied, Enjoyable. Looking forward to next year.
In full: This race is special to me as I am local and knew alot of people running it. Our area has a good community spirit. The weather was perfect for it. The course is a good one, it was maybe easier for me as I knew what was coming and had hill trained for it. The marshalls were good. I have to agree with other reviews that some drivers are so inconsiderate and did get rather close to runners at times. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and feel great having achieved a new PB for this distance.

In full: Really enjoyed the race and the weather was great. However, directions were dire! We nearly didn't arrive on time-where on earth is Haigh?

In short: Hills, hills I hate hills ;@}
In full: The directions were shocking Haigh is not even signposted so we got lost!!! Drive a route if your going to write directions. Timing chip collection was very well organised, unlike clumber, but it was a much smaller race. Toilets, not enough of them!The hills killed me and my running buddy, but the rest of the course was OK, Marshals were very supportive, even if 1 guy told me there was loads of people behind us when we knew damn well we were at the back.
Did NOT like the fact that traffic on a national speed limit road was zooming passed us, and that the finish ambulance was driving right behind us :@}

The event ran out of water at the finish and told us we would have to get some inside, or run faster next time!!!! Hello if there isn't enough water then it dosen't matter how fast you run someone is going to be without water and for a beginner to be told to run faster next time it can be VERY demoralising, got inside no water there either and told to buy some!!!!! Hello water is free from taps! and they had ran out of T-Shirts in a medium.

Overall would do it again, but would leave a bottle of water with my kit for the finish.

In short: Really enjoyed this today
In full: Was not on my best form but the race was brill and got me back in the zone. Thanks to orgasiers, it all went really smoothy and puts some bigger 10ks like Clumber Park in the shade. That last hill was a killer but made me enjoy my bacon sandwich even more after.
