In short: Fantastic scenery
In full: Only did the half, but some fantastic scenery along the way. The two large drops towards the end are definitely welcome, but can be murder on the knees. Only one complaint though; there were a couple of places at which, if you couldn't see the runner in front, you could have easily gone the wrong way as there were no signs to tell you which direction to run. Overall though, a very good event.

In short: Fabulous race.
In full: This is a fabulous race with great organisation. Very freindly.
There are some long lonely stretches on this course that can be more testing than the downhills which by the time you reach them you at least know your approaching the closing stages. The support was great around the various water stations.

In short: Cracking race
In full: I personally had a mare but this is one of the best marathons you can do, Scenic Cheap and definate PB course. Pity I as rubbish. Great support at about 22 miles really got me going again.

In short: A race that I keep returning to.
In full: Scenic route, expert organisation, and the chance of a pb if you survive those wreckless descents. See you next year!

In short: Superb run. A hidden classic of the racing calendar.
In full: Nothing to be scared of. Downhills are welcome at the end of the race and the gentle climb for the first few miles is hardly noticeable. FA cup final and beer tent at finish - great.

In short: Practise long downhills before you do this one...
In full: Half marathon PB for me. Registration was nice and smooth. Bus to start all happy smiley faces. Torrential downpoor as we walked from bus drop off to start was uhm, refreshing!? The run itself was fantastic, just mind the cyclists and walkers coming the other way. Support a bit sparse but then it is along an old disused railway high up on the peaks. Water stations were plastic cup affair, not the best but it keeps rubbish close by for the marshalls to collect. Although it was a small field (200ish runners) there was always another runner in view so you didn't get lonely but not one if you want to chat.
