In short: Well done - great organisation this year!
In full: Got a pb although not the time I wanted. Weather was hot! Nice calm start this year, not too much crowding, great crowd support and encouraging marshalls. Thanks.

In short: this is more like it
In full: Much better organised than last year, still think that the goody bag needs a bit more thought though. Great marshals and good support from the people lining the route. I was about 5 minutes slower than last year, that will teach me for not going to as many club nights as I did last year. See you all next year.

In short: Excellent course, went smooth as clockwork.
In full: I grew up in this area but moved away a good while ago so good to pound the old streets. The course does pick out a lot of the good bits and still manages to stay pretty flat which is amazing for Bristol (park street or jacobs wells road for next year anyone? ;-).

First time I've done it and was impressed with how smoothly it went. A bit more information about what we were supposed to do at the start would've been reassuring but it ended up seeming fairly obvious when you knew.

The wave start was excellent - I was running at my intended pace right from the start gantry at the head of the yellow group and there were really no hold-ups all the way round even though it was a little narrow in places.

Drinks stations and the finish were excellent although a little chaotic at times but not that surprising given the number of people. A big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time to marshall, man the drinks stations and sort out the finish etc.

An excellent race, if stays this good or even manages to get better I'd say its a must do. (Oh, and 1 hour knocked off my PB from the GNR last year! :-)

In short: Really well organised, 2 wave start obviously works
In full: This was my first time running bristol (my home town) and I was very impressed with the organisation. Everyone was great, the crowds, the marshalls, the volunteers at the end, the guys handing out the drinks. Not a PB for me went out too quick and it was a bit hot. Will definitely be back next year. Suggestion - get someone else to send out the packs next year!

In short: Big City Big Race
In full: Bristol is not a city that I'm over familiar with and it is clearly bigger than I realised. It also clearly wants people like me to think of it as bigger than I did, and this race is an excellent example of it raising its profile with an ambition.

The crowds were great - a little sparse away from the main part of the city as one would expect, but very vocal where they were.

The drinks volunteers were great - huge thanks for slick organisation and enthusiasm there.

The route is nice - a little twsity and turny - more to showcase the city and creat spectator friendly viewing perhaps than for the sake of the runners in the second half. I enjoyed it never the less and it added to the atmosphere if not the quickness towards the end.

No problem with arrival of the race pack for me, although the signage could have been a little clearer on race day.

Overall a good day out, although I may choose a slightly cheaper "runners race" next year over the extra cost associated with what afterall was a big event, not just a running race.
