In short: love the jelly babie couple. In full: Great for london prep, and great seeing the jelly baby couple. I like crowds of people to give you that boost, very happy with time and ran 18.5 miles before i decided on a short walk run session. But i don't think i'll do it again, just too quiet for me. Good indicator though, and now looking forward to london. Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Ideal long run material for Spring marathons In full: Course well marshalled by very frendly marshalls- mostly quiet roads with minimal traffic. Slight inclines but generally a quick course. Will be back if I book in a spring marathon next year Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Charming in every way. I will return. Thanks to all concerned. A delight! In full: Well organized, varied route. Brilliat marshalls and not too crowded. Many thanks to all concerned. After my disappointing experience at the Fleet half last week, I was much cheered by this lovely, slick, uplifting event. Well done and thank-you! Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Cheap and cheerful VLM build up race In full: Nice enough course, slightly more undulating than I was expecting and the sideways slopes on some of the roads weren't easy to run on. You don't get bags of goodies at the end, but I'm not too worried about that anyway, 8 quid is an absolute bargain for a 21 mile race. I especially liked the fact that it involves 3 laps through the centre of town, supporters had it easy drinking coffee and just popping out to cheer me on as I went past. Overall a good race and I'll probably be doing it again next time I do a spring marathon (which will be next year hopefully!) Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Well organised, excellent pre London training run In full: The organization was excellent, well marshalled and plenty of water stops - many thanks again to the couple with Jelly Babies. You could teach the Sussex Beacon crowd a thing or two about how to operate an event! Many thanks. Date of review: March 28, 2010

In short: Looks like the preparation of choice for the FLM! In full: As one of life's slow runners, I worried that there would be too many serious FLM participants. I needn't have worried, there were many who were much better than me, but a few who were just as slow. I thought the start was a bit vague, the marshalling very good, the support sparse but enthusiastic and the finish a bit vague as well. Overall, a good experience and thanks to the organisers and volunteers. Date of review: April 21, 2009
