In short: Very well run (pardon the pun)
In full: This was my second HM after running at Wilmslow earlier this year. Driving into Leeds at that time on Sunday morning is a breeze and it is easy to park. The start is well organised with good facilities. I agree that the course is a bit dull, particularly the ring road. The hills are quite long but not too steep. Plenty of drinks and also first aid stations. Got round in 1:42 - will aim for sub 1:40 next year. I would recommend this race.

In short: Had a great day - good support and hills very do-able
In full: This was only my second 1/2 marathon and I was very nervous of the reported hills. In fact they were more like long drags and I managed up them well. I have been practising running down hill and this was a real help - actually overtook some people! There was good support all the way round and I did exactly the same time as the Great North Run 2008.

In short: Long hill, miles 2 to 4, seemed harder: I'm a year older
In full: As before, great atmosphere and excellent organisation. Thanks to all the marshals, drinks station people, and first aiders.
(Why do groups of three or four insist on running in line abreast just slightly slower than everyone else?)

In short: Well organised but hilly race
In full: The Hills are hard, tough for a beginner. Water stations brilliant and well manned. Support from the public very good and spur you on. Easy parking, great organisation, superb treatment for the runners. big screen at the end to watch the other runners. Aching legs today but worth it.
