In short: Really good event....shame about the T-shirt
In full: Very good in all regards. A real sense of occasion generated, and not just in the city centre.
Slight grumbles: having to run alongside slow moving traffic on Kirkstall Road for a mile or two. Inevitable in big-city races I suppose.....and the T-shirt is a bit dull.

Jimmy Saville at the finish - splendid!

In short: Excellent race to run, especially for first timers. It's a moderately hilly course with some lovely scenery and Leeds is one of the nicest major cities to be running through. Loads of fit girls aswell, which is always a bonus.

In short: Enjoyable
In full: Ran the Liverpool half in March and the company behind that need to come and view the Leeds half. Organisation was great plenty of water stations and loos on the course a challenging course that finished in the city centre and a t-shirt and a medal for the same price as Liverpool!!!
Course was hilly in the first half and maybe a little narrow in places during the second half but overall as I drove 60 miles to get there it was well worth the trip

In short: Great atmosphere, with friendly competitors and officials
In full: Once you know that the long, draggy climb comes in the first third and that thereafter, with a couple of exceptions, it's mostly downhill, the race seems much easier. The crowds on the finishing stretch were superb. were

In short: Organisation was spot on. Hills were ok. All in all a half marathon well worth running
In full: The hills for this one are a bit exagerated in my opinion. 2nd half of the race is very flat and even downhill in places. Organisation was good. Goody bag lacked nearly everything, but hey a t-shirt is better than some leaflets and a packet of soup. Well worth it. I'll be coming back for this one
