In short: Fantastic Support makes this one of my favorite races In full: I was clapped and cheered most of the way round. A local pub was playing "keep on running" out loud. Hosepipes ready to cool me down on the top of Milton Road. Crowd support at the end was amazing. Ill be back next year! Date of review: June 17, 2009
In short: brilliant day out . In full: I'm slightly biased as I live in Stoke! but it was a great day and as it was my first half marathon had a great experience, atmosphere was great, the only down side for me is that there weren't enough water stops. Its always boiling when its the potters arf, but thank god for the brilliant crowds in Bentilee, Abbey hulton and Sneyd Green! Date of review: June 17, 2009
In short: Tough and challenging, brill crowds and great organisation In full: Definitely still my fave race. Loved the hills, the Berwick road one on 11 miles is a stunner, and was rewarded with my first gold. The crowds always make it special and I'll be back next year. Spot on Potts!! In short: Excellent race, challenging in places In full: A Fantastic race and well supported by all the locals. The unofficial water stations and ice pops & hose pipes were welcomed on a hot day. Two major hills to contend with however i found the rest of the course relatively flat. Depends upon what kind of training you are used to. There is PB potential. I received a PB and a bronze. This was the best race i have competed in so far and i'll deffo be back next year.
Medals are a great incentive - i loved this! Date of review: June 16, 2009
