In short: Excellent organisation. Nice venue. Friendly encouraging marshalls. Well done guys.
In full: Pleased to see I wasn't the only numpty who entered on the day, considering the torrential rain!! And I'm so glad I did, as I smashed my pb by two and a half minutes. This was one of the most well organised races I've ever taken part in. Interesting goody bag containing brown hair dye, amongst other things (see my nick name...'brown ambition' just doesn't have the same ring to it!!). Will be back next year for another crack at it.

In short: NHRR flagship event and as always it ran like clockwork - well done guys
In full: Even on such a rainy day there is still a big race feel to this event. Nice to see so many people still turned out. Lots of first timers as well. Never a PB course for me but at least I ran it quicker than last year. Well done NHRR

In short: Great for a first race
In full: I chose this event as a beginner to see what kind of time I could post. Having trained in the gym and done some road-running on my own, but the "competition" really pushed me and I managed to knock a few minutes off my personal best.

The course was as described on the leaflet, with plenty of inclines thrown in and the downhill finish was greatly appreciated.

Excellent marshalls posted throughout, providing encouragement to all. I would have to agree with some of the comments regarding the part of the course on the main road, with marshalls risking life and limb as a barrier between cars and runners. Difficult to safely pass anyone along that stretch.

Otherwise thoroughly enjoyable morning.

In short: Well organised, fast race
In full: Very smooth, well organised, excellent and enthusiastic marshalls risking life and limb on a busy sunday morning bypass. Not especially scenic but being local I knew tht already. Felt I ran a quick race but disappointed to only make a pb by 10 seconds!
