In short: Cracking race - very well organised, low key but nice and friendly.
In full: My first half but ran faster than expected. Flat as a pancake with great weather which helped the miles whiz by. Marshals did a great job, seriously happy bunch!
Slightly weird with start, finish & HQ in different locations around the village but well done WH Harriers.
See you next year.

In short: This is the race to do if you want to do a personal best.
In full: I ran Reading HM the week before and achieved a PB in that race. Having done the White Horse yesterday I beat that PB time by a minute. I would have been quicker but my legs were still sore. A great race, nicely organised, very friendly and with around 500 runners not over crowded. A friend of mine did it with me and it was his first race and he loved it.

In short: A cracking little race on rural roads through south Oxfordshire
In full: After (I'm told) some less than favourable weather conditions in recent years, the 2009 race was held in near-perfect conditions. The course is very flat, the roads scenic, the marshalls plentiful and encouraging. The three water stations were welcome as the morning warmed up, and it really didn't matter that the roads were not closed to traffic. Organisation was impeccable - I lost my race number two weeks before the race and a new one was quickly dispatched (thanks Kevin!). After a somewhat unexpected PB I was more than happy to part with a fiver for a race Tshirt (with the names of all the competitors on the back - a nice touch)

In short: Very scenic, flat as a pancake - perfect temperature - no wind (which can be a prooblem on this course)...

In short: Lovely course,great marshalls,nice & flat.
In full: A lovely sunny day, nice rural flat course..the marshalls were excellent, locals turned out to cheer us on..Knocked 5 mins off PB..i personally would like a bottle of water along the way, maybe not all 3 stations, but at the 6 mile one would be nice, ended up spilling or wearing most of them.only downside to this race for me was the 185 mile round trip.other than that, cant fault it at all..Many thanks.

In short: Fantastic organised race
In full: Great race this, flat course but not dull, excellent marshalls cheering you on, brilliantly orgnised and a sensible sized field for the event. Really can't fault this, the sun even shone too! New PB for me, I suggest you get in quick for next years event.
