In short: good atmosphere, loads of runners well organised (except when leaving the car part-took us 1hr 15mins to go 1/4 mile!!). Would definately do it again.

In short: Overcrowded in parts, too much uphill not enough down!
In full: Good race although the hills and shuffling in crowds led to a dissapointing finish time. Wanted to run with a pacer, but didnt ever see one due to mess up over starting area.

In short: A decent course with some tough sections - great atmosphere
In full: Well organised day, plenty of parking, toilets etc.

The course is decent - with a couple of challenging climbs in the middle, but I broke my PB by 5 minutes ! Plenty of support round the course especially in the middle sections. All in all it was a good day and would recommend it !

In short: Overcrowding and disorganised start ruined it
In full: Far too many runners now, really slowed me down in first 4 miles so ended up with a disappointing time. Some parts of the route were too narrow for the sheer numbers of runners. Start was disorganised with people starting in pens which bore no resemblance to their running ability. Spectators were pushing runners out of the way in the bundle to get to the start area - organisers should look at the Bath Half and other events where runners are kept entirely separate from spectators on their way to the start. Goody bag was pathetic. This is my local race but in all honesty I'm reluctant to do it again because there's just too many runners and it makes for a pretty miserable run. Shame the word 'Nottingham' doesn't appear on the medal!

In short: Well Organised Marathon
In full: The organisation for this event was slick, Car parking was easy, abundence of toilets, plenty of food and drink available, chinging facilities and bag store was well run and the event had more than enough supportive and enthusiastic Marshalls - Well Done Nottingham! This was my 11th Marathon and in fairness one of the smallest events I have entered, the route was uninspiring in the first half and even worse in the second although it did flatten out more. Unfortunately, was'nt expecting as many hills in the first and the head winds in the second which made the last 10 miles even tougher.
We are not spoilt for choice for UK Marathons and the fact this is well organised suggests I will be back, I just hope they can improve the course, especially the boating lake which would have been bearable if we just did a single lap and out,

In short: First ever full marathon - tough wind at times, great support
In full: This was special as it was my first ever full marathon. The half-m course was far better than the 2nd half of the full. 13 to 26 had far too much doubling back on yourself to make the distance...maybe a more "natural" course would be better. Great support at many parts of the route. Glad it's over...I feel better about it this morning - as opposed to how I felt a minute after the finish!

In short: That Bloody Lake
In full: Well what can I say 1st Full and well chuffed.

Couple of corners could do with little more guidance many cutting some corners and creating dangerous crowds mostly during 1st half

lucoazde Gells !!!!!! having made my plan could not get any on route ! had they run out !

no more complaints, Great day well done to ALL and THANKYOU to ALL the great helpers on route.

In short: Great course, great organisation, great day!!!
In full: My second attempt at an organised race (my first being the awfully organised British 10k), I was impressed at how smoothly everything went. The course was clear to run, challenging (that that's a good thing!) and it seemed like everyone in nottingham were really into supporting the runners.
Only issue I had was I kept missing mile markers - they were only on one side of the track - maybe one on each side next year?!

Definately will be back next year!
