In short: If the weather holds out, you might too...
In full: ...I was paying it did, it never. Three laps of suburbia with a 4(ish) mile semi-country lane route isn't the most conducive to boredom offsetting. Yet, saying that, I definitely do it again as it's under £20 and the facilities were great, as were the extremely enthusiastic marshalls.

In short: I had heard some bad things about the Luton Marathon but they were all wrong. I
In full: When we arrived in the car park it was windy but not raining. As we went in the hall we noticed people coming in that were wet. It had started to rain. It could have been a bad omen. The first lap was windy and raining as was part of the next time round. It cleared up towards the end lap although the wind was still there. All in all I enjoyed the race. It was a challenge. Not a pb but thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a well organised race and well worth doing.

In short: Well organised, some nice scenery between the villages, did anyone else notice the thatched house ?
In full: As always, this event is so well organised, from the maps/directions to the wonderful marshals. Its also great to have a large indoor venue to meet with pals both before and after - tellible weather for 2 laps - then some sunshine - but the marshalls smiles all through it !

In short: Good marathon with fun three leg relay, windy and hilly though !!
In full: Well organised race. Three laps makes a change and the three person relay looked good fun. Course is quite hilly and the weather was the worst I've raced in (very cold, wet and windy) which made it quite fun.

In short: A gem of a race - even in that weather!
In full: Loved it. After a deep disappointment with Leicester, course not time, this was the perfect finish to the marathon calendar. Loved the three laps cos I knew what was coming, marshalls were the best I've ever seen, and didn't mind getting soaked and nearly blown away. Don't be put off by the location and the fact it runs through town for much of it, this is a secret PB cert on the right day.

In short: A good challenge
In full: Worth the trip up from Portsmouth. Weather was very poor, especially the wind out the back of the course, and the muddy/slippery paths didn't help either. Marshalls and supporters were very good, organisation was good, well marked course, fairly tough with a few inclines.

In short: Absolutely loved it...
In full: Well apart from the wind, rain, hail and hills that is... Met some inspirational people and must also give the marshals a special mention... Not sure it was the best choice for my first marathon but I did it... whoop whoop!

In short: Fantastic marshalls but wind and rain made this a tough course
In full: The marshalls were fantastic. As I was going round on lap three they were still smiling and saying well done to everyone who passed inspite of the wind and the rain. The 3 lap format makes this a tough course. There is an uphill climb which seems to go on for about a mile and then you hit open fields were the wind and rain which brought many runners to a complete standstill. What makes it tough is you know what to expect on lap 2 and 3 and you know it isn't pleasant. There were a couple of very muddy and slippery sections which you had to take steadily. There were 3 water stations on each lap with a choice of water or HiFive isotonic drink. These were operated very efficiently. There were some sections on roads that had not been closed and I felt a little vunerable at times when big trucks went speeding passed. The start and finish were well organised and the finishers medal and tee-shirt were fantastic.
