In short: Save an old pair of shoes for this one!
In full: Last did the Slog in 2004, but the memories of the mud had not faded. Tried to talk my way out of it the night before, but so glad I didn't manage to, as I had a FAB (albeit very slow) time. VERY slippy and muddy - shoes were twice their normal width with mud and straw stuck to them, and managed to stumble in the stream to almost waist deep! Brrrr! I normally hate races, but love this for the feeling of all being 'in it together'.

In short: Even better organised than last year deserves to be number one!
In full: After last year I did not think it could be as much fun, the marshalls were excellent the mile markers were visable all in all an excellent way to spend a sunday morning, oh and the goody bags above average. I recommend this run.

In short: Ohhh the mud - there was lots of it and very deep. Great organisation and marshalls were very friendly. The only downside for me was the two long waits to get through the kissing gates. Apart from that a great race. I will be back...

In short: Superb organisation, fun course, cracking day out. I can't believe it was only £10 given the long-sleeved top and the goody bag.

In short: This was one of the best marshalled, best organised race I have ever done, the mud was excellent and lots of it, T Shirt was long sleeved and very good, I asked one of the marshalls for assistance, he was very very helpful. Thanks for a great race.

In short: Absolutely magnificent from start to finish with superb organisation.
In full: Difficult to sum it up. My first slog but being a Hogweed was well aware of what lay ahead. It certainly won't be my last. Brilliant organisation, superb marshalling, fantastic goody bag and a quality T-shirt. This race puts some much bigger events to shame. A real credit to all those involved.

In short: Mud, Sh*t, Rivers and a Bog, Playfull Hill and Great Fun
In full: Friendly and fun cross country with comedy obstacles later on in the race. Great fun and expertly organised, although next year a spanner and 10 minutes taking off two swing gates would be a good idea.
