In short: Super mudfest In full: My first Slog on a glorious day with enough filth and water to satisfy all mudlark runners. I didn't find it hard as there were so many natural rests at styles, sheep dips etc. The brief, dignified Act of Remembrance gives this event a special atmosphere. Date of review: November 13, 2011
In short: Still Excellent In full: Great organisation, great support throughout the course, excellent jelly beans, could have done with more mud/water, beautiful sunny day. what more could you ask for, well done again. Very good to have the Rememerance Prayer and Last Post. Date of review: November 13, 2011
In short: amazing race In full: this is the first race i had ever done. i loved it, it was a well good laugh and i will be doing it again and again. all in all if you looking at doing this race, then just do it you will love it, and you get a goodie bag. Date of review: January 16, 2011
In short: Dirty, cold, wet muddy and FANTASTIC - great fun, atmosphere and organization In full: You have to have a go at the slog - everyone has a tale to tell of the horror, watch the videos on the website and you start to feel a little bit sick! Forget everything that you thought it might be, put on some old trainers and have a fantastic morning run. The best atmosphere of any race this year with abilities from elite to fun run. It is hard but when your waist deep in mud and water its lashing with rain and someone dressed as a ballet dancer is running past it just makes you smile. A MUST DO event Date of review: December 23, 2010
In short: Another cracking race In full: Did this last year for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the fact it's on Remembrance Sunday and the two minute silence before setting off. The marshalls are all very friendly and cheerful - the jelly beans were marvellous.
Great race and I'd highly recommend it. Date of review: November 24, 2010
