In short: Great PB potential - was a tad thirsty though!
In full: Loved this race, managed to knock a few minutes off for a PB, 4 PB's out of 4 races so far! The water at 3k wouldn't have been such an issue if I had known it was the only one, I would've taken more than a sip or brought a bottle.

Will definitely be back next year.

p.s only missed km markers 5 and 6 - still annoying.

In short: Excellent scenic fast race
In full: Such a beautiful day and a perfect day for running! Really enjoyed this race and hard not to get a PB with the flat route and conditions - slashed another 3mins off my time so real pleased with that! To re-iterate previous comments on KM markers - I only saw 1km, 6.5km and 9km so have to agree that these really did need to be made bigger and clearer. However - was a great fast race and fab running by the sea - loved it!! :) :)

In short: Brilliant weather, even more brilliant time
In full: As I managed to knock 7 mins 25 secs off my PB it's hard to complain too much.
I agree with other comments about KM markers, toilets and baggage facilities but I do think runners need to take a bit more responsibility themselves - marshalls are there to make sure you don't get killed by a truck, not as a cheerleaders and if you know you're a fast runner then go towards the front before the start instead of starting at the back then knocking over, shoulder barging or tripping up slower runners. Respect all the runners, not just the fast ones.
Overall a great race and I'll be back next year.

In short: OK - the sun took me by surprise
In full: This was my second race and followed on from doing the half marathan in Cardiff 6 weeks ago. As such was a bit complacent and had a bit too much red wine the night before! However, still managed a PB of just under 56 minutes although mentally this was tough to get through. Agree with the markers - only spotted 6.5 and 7km after 3km and little or no support although my boyfriends cheering got me down the final straight. Medal was also a bit rubbish. Will be back next year to improve my time and will leave the wine until after!

In short: Where were the km markers?
In full: Lovely run, PB material but the distance markers were certainly hiding. Water at 3k was a pleasant surprise, though rather early in the race - would have been nicer towards the end. Will definitely do this again - maybe another PB?

In short: All about the PB
In full: First time doing this and enjoyed it on the whole. Definitely, definitely PB potential for everyone, very flat course. I knocked over 3 mins off my 10k time from last month!

KM markers must have been very badly placed, I only saw 1km, 2km and 6.5km so couldn't pace myself, had to run entirely on how I was feeling. Water was unexpected at 3km and I didn't take any, but I don't feel I need water on a 10k race anyway so no gripes with that personally.

The atmosphere left a little to be desired. No real support or clapping from spectators, just a mild interest in what was going on. The support came from the other runners if anywhere. I found most spectators respectful though about not getting in the way etc.

All in all, I enjoyed this a lot. Chuffed with the PB and the weather was better than I could even have hoped.

In short: Excellent location
In full: Living just above the start line, I managed to avoid the hassles with bags etc. However, I would concur, the water station would make more sense at 7km and the markers, clearer. But for all that running a Regency sea front on a glorious autumn morning, with PB potential, very hard to beat!
