In short: Nice race, with a few hard hills thrown in to add a little spice to the run.

In short: One of the more enjoyable 1/2 M courses I've done. Scenic, with a few hills to test the legs.
In full: I was expecting traffic and not much scenery so I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of the roads were closed to cars, and the ones which weren't I hardly noticed the traffic. Yes, there's a few hills but they're fair ones you can have a crack at rather than walls where you grind to a halt.
Same gripe as usual though...could the organisers please sort out more toilets for the ladies. Queueing for the toilet for 20 minutes before the start does not put you in the best running mood.

In short: Well organised, with two starts (one for vets/women, one for senior men) to avoid overcrowding. A pleasant, scenic route, largely traffic free. More hills than I'd expected - the organiser's description of "gently undulating" hardly prepared me for
In full: Well organised, with two starts (one for vets/women, one for senior men) to avoid overcrowding. A pleasant, scenic route, largely traffic free. More hills than I'd expected - the organiser's description of "gently undulating" hardly prepared me for some of the steep inclines! After the slight chill at the start, winter sunshine made it perfect weather for a good run. I reckon it's at least couple of minutes slower than a flat course - it's definitely not PB material, but that shouldn't put off a newcomer, who would be made welcome. My only moan was the absence of shower facilities. Overall, an enjoyable race.

In short: A really nice race with some challenging hills, miles 3 - 10 through beautiful country lanes, begining and end back in the town and not as nice, could have done with one more water stop before the end, on the whole a good race.

In short: I had heard that this was a bit of a hilly affair, and it was! It's just a case of head down and digging in til your pass the 8 miles mark and then it gets easier. Got new PB by 3 mins!
In full: Would be far harder if the race was run the other way round, as would then be more ups than downs which is good for no mortal soul!

In short: Hills were tough, but good as part of a training schedule for the big one in April. Glorious almost Spring like day helped. Ran the time I wanted (despite those hills!) helping to mak the whole event thoroughly enjoyable for me.

In short: Tough for a first time but all the more exhilerating for that.
In full: Enjoyed the race, good support on the way round and well organised. Nice marshalls. Not an easy one - those hills! but will definately do it again next year.
