In short: Need more loos and the A38 stretch was a bit narrow but great apart from that Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: Thanks to the marshall with the Jelly Babies In full: Plenty of good points. Nice and fast course; quite scenic glimpses of countryside at the start especially; good t shirt and medal; reasonable entry price; just about the right number of entrants to give it a good atmosphere but remain manageable. I was't so happy with that stretch up the A38 as it was a little bit too narrow and and unnerving having cars coming from behind. The industrial estate was a bit bland but it was here a marshall handed out a Jelly Baby. What a great guy, a good bit of sugar and an uplifting gesture. Must have been a mega sized packet if he was handing out to everyone. Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: Outstanding organisation and support In full: Very good facilities at start/finish; super medal, T-shirt and free recovery drink at end. Generally good course with traffic very well controlled but didn't enjoy the loop through the industrial estate. Good atmosphere and very friendly. Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: As always a well organised race In full: Great race as always. Good support, well-marshalled, good to have a free T-shirt, medal and milkshakes. Sadly the milkman displaying his float didn't seem to get much interest. I would have spoken to him but I doubted his round would have reached my house.
Only one small point - I passed some of the charity walkers (who did a great job raising money and had every right to be there) along the narrow stretch up the A38 and overtaking them caused some problems. Maybe the couse could be slightly widened at this point to avoid runners having to step out into the traffic? Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: Excellent as usual In full: My third time to do this and a first for the detour through the Industrial Estate which is no big deal. Good support from the locals and the stewarding/organising/policing was first rate. A bottle of water at the end would have been welcome as would more than the 10 or so portaloos at the start for what is a big field. Medals are ok but a mug on my work desk would have been more use. Thanks to all who volunteer for free at these events...they are the heroes! See you in 2009 Stroud! Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: All Round Fab Race In full: This was my fifth year at Stoud as as I have come to expect it was excellently organised, well policed, excellent marshalls and fantastic supporters.
Thanks to the organisers for a fabulous event(even better for being on the day the clocks go back!) - I'm looking forward to next year all ready! Date of review: October 26, 2008

In short: Rain held off long enough for a pb! In full: Seemed to have much more of a 'big race' feel than last year, nice medal and t shirt, thanks to all. Date of review: October 26, 2008
