In short: Perfect weather - great marshalling - my first marathon and would recommend to others
In full: Friendly marshalls - thank you to all. My first marathon and loved it (although my kness and hips are disagreeing with that!) - thank you to my guardian angel Clare from Bristol who ran with me from mile 2 - those last few miles were a struggle and you kept me going! Thank you :)

In short: Wow. What a fantastic event. Can't wait for next year.
In full: Despite years of racing this was my first marathon and I have to say I don't think I could find another to even begin to match this one.

The organisation was superb. The marshalling and support was top class and the course was without doubt p.b material.

Without doubt the best race I have ever attended. Well done to all involved and please hold it next year.

In short: Fast course and well managed event.
In full: Course changed this year...but don't worry it is still pretty flat and offers up good PB potential. Extremely well marshalled and organisers made us feel welcome.

In short: Fabulous for a First Timer
In full: My first marathon and really enjoyed it, the course was flat and scenic and the marshalls were fantastic - really helpful, jolly and encouraging, a lovely marathon to do for a first one and am already thinking about the next one

In short: Flat, fast and friendly
In full: I good course, really well organised, loads of friendly marshals, lots of water stations and a great medal. If you need loads of supporters, this way not be for you but those on the road side were very vocal. Only problem with the course was coming through the centre of town at about mile 23 or 24. There were roadworks and lots of cars and we had to squeeze past then dash across a road near cross motorists. And I was in no shape to "dash" after 24 miles.

In short: Good as always but a few faults this year.
In full: Big thanks to all the marshalls, every one very encouraging & the organisation flawless. Crowd support was wonderful too, but better on the first lap.

Course seemed slightly tougher too & I'm not sure if I preferred the 2 lap to the 2006 course.

My only complaint were the drink stations. Nothing wrong on the 1st lap, but I'm sure there was an energy drink stop (lucozade?) 2 years ago.

If you've come alone, it's very tough running 26 miles with the 2nd half of race surviving on just 1/4 full cups of water wasn't great, For £25 I don't think one Lucozade/Powerade station at say 16 miles was asking too much and an extra water stop added to the last 10K.

I ran sub 4 hours & only missed my PB by 90 secs or so, so not too disheartened but was 8 mins down on what I should've & was on course to run.

But still big thanks to all involved.

In short: A great new route and fantastic support
In full: worth waiting 2 years for! Abingdon Amblers have scored another hit. Particularly impressive was the marshall/feed station presence and their good humour even on the one or 2 difficult road crossings

In short: Fast and race well organised, shame about the parking
In full: I don't like arriving at the start line in a bad mood. The race itself was great, course good and marshalls great too.
The parking (which wasn't well signed) was quite a way from the start and finish lines. The postcode on the instructions was of the start. I don't think anyone's planning to send them a letter so why not put the postcode of the car park location?
