In short: Superb organization during non-stop rain. Roads in places were flooded which one expects during cross-country but less so on urban routes! In full: I was so impressed by the obvious organization which went into this event. A real tribute to Tunbridge Wells Harriers. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Excellent race - who cares about the weather? In full: Given the horrendous weather conditions, it's testament to the atmosphere and organisation that I enjoyed it so much. Dame Kelly congratulating people was wonderful. The scenery was lovely (through the driving rain) and the small floods brought a moment of refreshment. Organisation was great - don't think I've ever seen so many marshalls. Thanks very much to the two excellent 2:00 pace runners who were doing a great job, especially up Fordcombe Hill. Excellent job. In short: Drums, cheerleaders and a double Olympic gold medalist In full: Brilliant race. I cant fault it. Great scenery with good support, a marching band, some drummers, lovely cheerleaders and Kelly Holmes waiting to shake your hand at the finish.
I agree with earlier comments on the timing chip. It really needs to be used for official race standings or theres no point in having it. But then thats not the organisers fault. Thats how it seems to be used at the moment in all the chip races I've done. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: It's Been Said: Noah's Ark and for me the second time in 2 week ends. In full: This event is run realy well with ALL doing a great job. Even a well organised baggage area. The weather can not be controlled by anyone but the organisers and all that helped made a great job. I have only one request as with others these days: Chip timing is the best thing that has come to running so why do the results continue to be sorted by the gun time! I thought the whole idea was to give runners an accurate time and make it easier for the organisers to do this. Surely it is just a case of tagging a different column on the results and , job done. Well maybe next time. Again I say VERY WELL DONE Tunbridge Wells Harriers and thank you to Dame Kelly and The Children's Mutual. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Noah's ark springs to mind... In full: Ghastly weather but a really great race, with such friendly supportive marshals and a warm greeting from Dame Kelly when we finished. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Fantastic course with exceptional orgainsation In full: Challenging but really nice, varied course. Really well organised with excellent marshals - special thanks to them for standing in the rain all that time. Weather was bad but not as bad as I expected. Nice goody bag with medal and T Shirt and Dame Kelly standing at the finish line. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: SO, SO GLAD I DID THIS In full: This was my first taking part in this race, and it went like clockwork. Even though the extremely wet conditions had caused minor flooding of the course in places, it was not difficult at all to simply run through it. This turned out to be my third fastest half marathon, which for an undulating, hilly course is saying something.
The organisation went like clockwork, with myriads of marshalls on hand to direct runners etc. Two event safety marshalls on motorbikes was a welcome and reassuring sight. Excellent police presence. Much should be said for the traffic management, I felt very safe on a non-traffic free course. All the mile markers were accurately positioned and all were visible. Running through this part of the Kent countryside was very scenic and 'chocolate box'.
Other plus points: wonderful medal and t-shirt with goody bag, prominent drinks stations with some offering bottle disposal points. Wonderful community spirit from all who turned out to cheer us on. All in all, this has turned out to be a 'must-do' race in my calendar, so will be back next year, hills and all. Thank you all, and a special mention to Dame Kelly Holmes for being there for us and supporting us. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Superb race with great marshalls, support and organisation In full: Love this race, TWH have really put the effort in to this race and it shows. The marshalls were uniformly superb and always enthusiastic. Dame Kelly Holmes was great to see at the end handing out goody bags and congratulating the finishers - nice touch and much appreciated.
Very good value too - nice goody bag, T-Shirt, Medal and food/drink! Other races on the South Cost (more expensive too) can learn a lot from this one.
Thanks again and see you next year. Date of review: February 28, 2010
