In short: Great race, but the crowds make it difficult to run to your potential

In short: 10th and was thinking last, but route change made it easier and somehow more interesting
In full: Having run through months of cold, damp and wet the hot weather was welcome at the start but cursed by the end. This was, as usual, an outstanding day, which will live in memory for years to come. No PB this year, but hey, can't have everything

In short: loved every minute, support was super, great banter amongst the athletes...had a duel with a Rhino
In full: Humphrey the Camel had a great race on Sunday and managed to complete the 26 mile course in 4 hours 37 minutes (a personal best). He had a grin on his face throughout the event despite a few groans from his two humps between 18 and 24 miles. The crowd spurred him on and he managed to shift into full Camel sprint mode (ears flapping) once he hit the Embankment with two miles to go. He almost had to hurdle the advertising boards down the home straight (like the Grand National)...

In short: A great day with wonderful weather thrown in
In full: It still annoys me that people come to a complete standstill after picking up their water. They always seem to stop in front of me.So sad to see that poor person getting CPR at about 10 miles.Already looking forward to doing another one-bring it on.

In short: It sets the standard for marathons
In full: Despite avery disappointing time this year - you just can't knock the run - from application process through to finish line and beyond - Just absolutely outstanding and if anyone ever does just one marathon - just do London... Th crowds and the support this year was phenomenal - from mile 1 thorugh to the last 200 yards... Absolutely incredible and the organisation is absolutely BANG ON!

In short: Awesome, unforgettable, especially Tower Bridge.
In full: Reading the other comments is bringing a lump to my throat. It's not a race for most of us, more like a carnival. My first marathon, looking for another in June to improve the PB!
