In short: Great organisation, fantastic medal and challenging run In full: Have to say that having done the Marlow 5 Miler (sponsored by Grant & Stone), my expectations were high and I was not dissapointed.
The hill at the start along with the incline at the end a particularly challenging but the medal and t-shirt were well worth it - we all know that the quality of the goodies is often the big driver in doing these things. Date of review: July 18, 2010

In short: Well organised, good support, reasonably tough course. In full: Many thanks again to the marshalls and local support for making this another enjoyable race. Nice medal, goody bag.
No downsides that I can recall. The hill at the start is still there - not much the organisers can do with it. Date of review: July 18, 2010

In short: Few challenging hils (up and down!) but not a bad course In full: Rather tough hill at the beginning but once it's done it's relatively straightforward except for one long steep downhill. Bit busy at the start however the hill soon sorts the wheat from the chaff! Well organised with water stations/sponges in good positions, nice goody bag with technical t shirt and range of exciting things. Bit of an irritating climb just after 12 miles which zaps your energy/morale a little but after that you can pretty much see all the way to the end and it makes it that little bit easier! Lots of nicer friendly spectators also! Will come back I think. Date of review: July 18, 2010

In short: Itsworth it for the goody bag! In full: Great organisation, maybe more loos needed (arent there always).Hill at start a real misery, things can only get better from there. Absolutely fantastic goody bag... tech t-shirt, and lots of lovely little goodies. Good parking around the event. Lady who won the Half a real star!!!!!! A challenging 10k. In short: A good race with a few challenging hills to keep your interest up. In full: Overall a good race, the organisation at the start line could have been better, all the half and 10k runners were mixed in together with no time bandings so there was a lot of jostling for position at the start especially when the field narrowed after the first bit. After that the big hill sorted out the runners a bit.
I enjoyed the mix of climbs and descents, it made for an interesting race through some nice countryside and towns. The urban element made for good crowd support. My only gripe in this area was that a lot of the latter part is run down the side of busy roads, although the marshalls were brilliant at keeping the traffic moving and out of the runner's way. I particularly enjoyed the last mile through the woods.
The usual complaint applies that there could have been more loos at the start, I was lucky but when I left the queue was massive.
L liked the goody bag, and look forward to trying the Flax and Gooji berries!!
I'll be back next year! Date of review: July 18, 2010

In short: Excellent organisation and great crowd support In full: Faultless organisation starting with decent signs on roundabouts to Race HQ. Great support from marshalls and locals. Plenty of water stations. Nice rural course once the hill at start is over with. Even saw a duck with her ducklings ! Generous goody bag including technical t-shirt and quality medal. Did the 10k last year and was back for the half this - enjoyed both but will probably do the half again next year. Date of review: July 18, 2010
