In short: smooth organisation
In full: Well organised. Bit quiet in places, some of the marshalls could have been a bit more vocal ... Hope everyone gets behind this event each year, would like to see it grow. It has the potential to be a prestige event in the running calendar

In short: Hilly thigh and calf burner!
In full: My home town race. This was my first year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's growing each year but it's still small enough so that you don't have to queue for the toilets.
I clocked a pb 1:31 which was a bit of a surprise given the terrain.
Nice to see Richard Taylor ex-Woodlands school finish 3rd. Well done chap.
I love running up and down hills so this was a great course for me - really demanding.
My only small gripe is that there were not that many spectators out and about but still there were plenty banging things together & shouting encouragment.

In short: Very good, well organised race.
In full: I lived in Coventry up until 3 years ago, so this was a jog down memory lane.
I really enjoyed the run and ran quicker than I have for several years (having hardly run in the past five weeks due to injury). Whether that is evidence for PB potential I couldn't say.
The crowds were really supportive (particular the young woman handing out the ice pops), the marshalls were excellent and the energy food at the end was spot on.
My only minor quibble is that the drinks stations were too short. On a couple of occasions I had run past the end of the station without finding a free hander-on of water.
Despite that this race is already one of the best halves around. I look forward to being sent to Coventry next year.

In short: Getting better every year
In full: Every year the race seems to get better. The race was well marshalled and the route makes the most of the surrounding scenery. My only criticisms would be the start where you can only enter the gated area from the back, the end where there is no help getting timing chips off and given the price of entry, paying extra for the t-shirt made the overall price a bit steep.

In short: Supeb race
In full: This has to be one of the best organised half marathons going. The marshalls did their jobs really well and were very encouraging to runners, the course was clearly marked, and the water stops were frequent and well organised. The scenery was a little dull in parts, but that was made up for by the stretches through the parks and that fantastic view as you turn left onto the Kenilworth Road. My only (small) criticism is the fact that it was difficult to find the appropriate start position as you could only join the crowd at the back and barge your way forward. Otherwise faultless and very enjoyable. Will definitely run this one again.

In short: Fantastic organisation and great support along the route.
In full: I learned a valuable lesson for this run - don't give blood in the week leading up to a race! I found myself toiling heavily on all of the hills and was weak as a kitten most of the way round.
I was extremely impressed with the organisation and the marshalling. I live on the route and I saw the marshalls setting up the road closures and giving advice on directions in a very professional manner.
The support along the route was great too; lots of people provided drink and sweets. If anyone enjoyed an ice pop at the 5-mile mark, they were courtesy of my wife!
In all, a great route, lovely weather and next year I won't be giving blood too close to the event!!

In short: As well organised as ever. Well worth doing.
In full: Never going to be the most picturesque race but it makes the most of what is availible. Superbly organised, big race atmosphere and enough hills to provide a challence. Weather perfect again. Big thanks to all of the people who put up water points outside their own houses and the shop who had an excellent manned water stop, small things like that make a race. Be back next year.
