In short: A great event overall, challenging but achievable.
In full: Really enjoyed this, definitely the best race I've ever done. Just one grumble really ... for a relative novice like me, having the water stops where you're expecting them is important. Not sure what happened, but they certainly weren't where I expected them to be! Nearly finished me off.

In short: Hilly, muddy, wet, friendly
In full: Many thanks to the organisers, volunteers and cheerful marshalls. This was my second year - I enjoyed it even more this time, especially the rope ladders! It was great to see some familiar faces from last year and the atmosphere was friendly all round. Definitely worth the long drive, and I'm looking forward to next year.

In short: Hard, challengeing, new bit made it much harder than previous years but that's what it's all about. I'll be back!

In short: Very tough run / walk
In full: I knew this would be challenging but it was more than that. Being thigh deep in mud was a new experience (and I'm over 6ft). Noticeable that the chatter had stopped by the second hill. The shoewash was horrible - sopping wet running shoes with stones in was not fun even for 500 yds or so! Warm sun at the beginning and end but chilly on the ridge.

In short: Off road fun
In full: Excellent organisation, with friendly Marshalls. My 3rd time with this race and its as good as ever, having negotiated the first crossing i ended up on all fours in the mud, its the mud that makes it fun, the shoe wash had the coldest water ever and the hills are demanding. Simply a great run.
