In short: good as ever
In full: I've been running this one since 2002 and it's the same every year, in a good way. Well done it's nice to have a road race with no chips no fuss just a great course and good atmosphere.I'll be back for there 50th next year

In short: Great annual race that can push beginners on
In full: Mostly uphill for the first half then downhill most of the way back. Always a great feeling to reach the half way point in this race!

A great race to push people on from the routine 10k's

Very scenic when the fog lifts!

In short: Good race - great place to finish. Two bad points - long walk back to car park and secondly the mile markers awere badly out this year and need to be right for next year.

In short: Awfu weather didn't spoil my return to this (rerouted) race after a gap of some 15 years - still one of the best.

In short: This race is worth running.
In full: This race is worth running. Well organised and good control of traffic. The only thing I would say was that I was rather unimpressed with the tacky medal and no goodie-bag, ehh?

In short: It's definitely a challenge, but a change from chasing PBs on flat coursess
In full: I did the Hogsback 2 years ago and enjoyed it enough to do it again. However, the same two problems haven't been resolved: the mile markers are way out of kilter; and there seems to be a resistance to telling racers how much further than 8 miles the course is. Combine these and judging your sprint finish requires either an excellent knowledge of Loseley Park or a wild guess.

In short: Too much on roads for me
In full: I know this is a long-standing race but I hadn't expected so much of it to be on roads with no footpaths.

Organisation generally good except for signage. There really could have been far more at both the car parks near the start, eg. pointing towards the start along with an indication that there were toilets there also. Where was race HQ? To comply with the race permit the route map should be on display along with the permit itself. It would be picky to say these affect the race but I really did feel that the start area could have been better signed and advertised. I'm afraid that at the finish too there was no way of knowing where the bags were.

It could be better with only a small amount of thought.

Many many thanks to all the marshals and other officials and helpers out there in such horrible conditions. Without them, there are no races.
