In short: Despite the long downhill sections the big hill killed any chance of a PB
In full: Enjoyable race, especially once its over. had read about the hill but was still hoping for a good time. Downhill sections are pretty good and long but that hill still messed up my time. Well organised by marshalls who have their work cut out with some of the car drivers. Strange layout with toilets and registration a 10 minute walk away from car park and start. Still a good enjoyable race and will be back to try and get up that hill abit faster.

In short: I have never run up a hill like that!
In full: I am well aware that you can't have a race in Crowborough without some ups and downs but that HILL is exceptional. I am sure it is near vertical at one point! I have run many races, from 10M to marathon, but never seen a hill like that. As this was my first 10K, I got a PB but I am confident I can beat it on any other course! Very well organised , thanks!

In short: That is one serious hill!
In full: Despite it being cold and damp (what would one expect in December, anyway!) this was a seriously challenging race for a newcomer to 10K like me. The course has the right blend of challenging hills and downhills to help a little recovery for the second lap. Chose to avoid the ford (did'nt want to get wet feet - wimp!)The defining characteristic of the course is the hill and that is enough to make me return next year in an effort to improve my time. Well worth the trip from sunny Essex.

In short: Not for the faint hearted
In full: I thought that putting the toilets in a differnt place to the start was a bit daft. The marshalls seemed friendly for the most part.

In short: That is the steepest hill i have ever jogged up, let alone walked. Good fun though!
In full: The downhill section certainly makes up for that horrendous hill. Enjoyed it nonetheless and as it was my first ever road race it's got myself motivated to enter a few other events. Marshalls and organisers were very welcoming!

In short: Great 10k challenge! Especially that hill!!
In full: It was my first race and although I had been hill training - it hadn't prepared me for the one in this race that you had to climb twice. Fantastic fun. I will definitely do it again!!
