In short: A challenging course but a well-organised and fun event.
In full: A well-organised and enjoyable event. The course was challenging - a couple of tough hills - but despite them still managed a PB! The pre and post race administration was very good. Also a nice technical T shirt and a goody bag at the end. I will be back!

In short: The canal tow path got a little boring after a while and the 2nd hill was a little severe but all in all a good race. Some really nice views of Belvoir castle and stadium finish was fantastic......

In short: What a great day. Fantastically well organised, helped by perfect weather.
In full: This being my first half I could not have wanted for anything more. Easy to park, great organisation, friendly people, encouraging marshalling and an excellent goody bag at the end.
Found the hills very tough, especially the second! Loved the stadium finish. Thanks to all concerned at Grantham AC.

In short: Tough (with those two monster hills) but very scenic and rewarding run
In full: This is not a PB type of course (those two killer hills will see off many valiant attempts) but who wants to run flat courses ALL THE TIME ? - sometimes it's just nice to run a race that's a little more challenging with interesting scenery, character, a friendly atmosphere and good organization. The Fraction has those things in spades. A great course that has you running along the canal towpath for 3 miles of it and journeys through some nice villages. Very well marshalled throughout with a great olympic-style finish running a lap and a bit around the stadium track (complete with applauding spectators) just when you need that final push. All round great race for all levels of ability, though beginners might find it a baptism of fire. Definitely want to repeat this one.

In short: Excellent race - one for the diary.
In full: A glorious day, excellent organisation, great course, 5 water stations, technical tee, nice goody bag, 2 VERY steep hills, but the rest of the course is pretty fast.

In short: Hills? They weren't, they were just lumpy bits!
In full: Lovely race and for a relatively new one, well organised. Nothing went wrong and the overall feel was very good.
The pre-race blurb and chat kept mentioning two monster hills - even the elevation graph got me worried - and all we got was 1/2 mile of playful incline! nothing really bad, it didn't drag on anything like as advertised! Bit cheeky of the photographer to camp at the top of the second one, though it may have made a few people up their work rate at the crest!
Great race, lovely route, my fastest 1/2 for 4 years, see you next year!

PS. Whoever thought of a sign saying "the sweep vehicle is catching you" and one "you won't get a PB here" - halfway up a hill - deserves a smack!

In short: Excellent organisation, challenging course, good goodybag
In full: Fourth time doing this one and the organisation has really improved - thoroughly enjoyed today and a PB to boot.

Lots of useful stuff in goody bag and really like the T-Shirt - marshalls were encouraging - will definitely be back again next year.

In short: Superb organisation - great race
In full: Top marks for organisation - like clockwork.
Great technical T-shirt + goody bag.
Stadium finish
Very friendly folks
Loads of parking
Loads of yummy cakes !
Thanks to all the marshalls - lots of them who did an excellent job

Course itself has a few undulations and a couple of short steep hills but also has some fast gradual descents.

Probably one of the best organised 1/2 marathons you can do.

and a new PB :0)

I'll be back next year
