In short: Freezing to say the least. Once we were off, it warmed up, it was well marshalled, no real traffic and great scenery. Hilly too which was a challenge which made it even more rewarding.

In short: good way to start 2009!

In short: Chilly and demanding but thoroughly rewarding race
In full: this is the first time i've run this race having run the Longmoor Lollop for the past 2 years; Tadworth is an excellent mix of road, cross country, tough hills and scenery; certainly up there with my favourites. Combined with a great goody bag and excellent marshalling and little or no traffic makes this a must for anyone wanting to kickstart their running year.

In short: A well organised and challenging race.
In full: With two long hills on each 5 mile lap and an equally thigh shuddering descent this is certainly not a PB course. However the scenery is fantastic for us townies and the marshalls and locals who braved the weather where fantastic.

In short: Why have I missed this Gem of a race?
In full: Wow, this has rate as a very good race. I've been running for 4 years now and completely missed this race. Yes it was cold, hard & hilly. But that did not stop it being great fun, well organised & a very pleasent atmosphere.

This has to go on my regular to-do calender.

In short: the racecourse is not as flat as it looks on the telly
In full: and indeed there are some other lumps and bumps in the course. Extremely well organised and marshalled (thank you for being out in the cold for that long), the man with the megaphone at the start could have done with being a little louder. I'll be back.

In short: Challenging!
In full: This was a very good all rounder with some nice flat bits...yes just some! Most was pretty hilly, its two laps and Id say that there are two tough hills (so thats four total with two laps)

I am not very good on hills to be honest but I think this race was good training for me and a good start to my marathon training (which is officially supposed to kick off today).

Overall a lovely race fairly well organised but a little lacking in the fun spirit - it would be nicer if perhaps there were a couple more marshalls at begining and end. I dont mean to moan as the marshalls that were there were great, especially the guy playing the radio near the start of the uphill to the racecourse and the sweet little boy handing out sweets.

In short: Artic Roll
In full: Artic temperatures .. -3 at least across the Epsom Downs. Now know why the horses i back struggle up Tattenham Corner .. Ebbisham Lane was a killer second time round.

Expertly marshalled and thanks to the runner who shouted "come on Fella" as I walked up Tattenham Corner 2nd time, only to see me speed past with my new motivation to complete in a PB for 10 miles 1hr 19 !!
