In short: loved it In full: Well organised and planned race. No problems at all. Thought two laps would be a bit of a bore, however it was all good!. Friendly field and thanks to others I did a PB!! Date of review: February 23, 2011
In short: What a great atomsphere! In full: I was recommended this race by Allan from my running club and he was certainly right it was a great race. Wicked goodie bag complete with much needed food for after and lovely medal. I'd like to thank Julie and Chris Mason for helping me get round in one piece, good company!!!! In short: Friendly and well organized In full: First time doing this distance (20), weather was perfect, and really enjoyed it. The marshaling/ organization was great and everyone was very friendly, frequent water stations (I must master drinking while running), and a super medal at the end. Defiantly recommend and will be back next year. One comment, please send the race pack out earlier, mine only arrived yesterday (1 day after the event). Date of review: February 22, 2011
In short: Great course and well organised In full: Really enjoyed this race, well organised but I would suggest if you have never run this, get there a little early as 1600 people milling about is allot in a small area.
All the race was on country roads with only slight inclines, there is one hill at around the 7-8 mile mark that you will feel for the 20 milers but for the 10 milers it should not be much of a problem.
Lots of encouragement from the marshalls as well en route.
Great goody bag and nice medal.
The only down side was the start of the race with both 10 and 20 milers was very congested and made it difficult for the first half mile.
In short: Well done to the organisers In full: Lots of folk here in preparation for the spring marathons so it gives the air a certain buzz of excitement and trepidation in equal parts. The organisation at the start, the end and everywhere inbetween was excellent. Thanks go to the friendly marshals and RRR for an excellent event Date of review: February 22, 2011
In short: One lap wonder :) In full: I did the 20 last year and was back to do the 10 this year. Efficient, well-organised race. Field is big enough to warrant the chips which are provided. Mile markers were generally accurate (although I think 6-7 was long). Goody bag full of food which is a BIG plus after a race. Marshalls were friendly and drinks stations efficient. The club clearly go to a lot of effort to put this on and the race deserves to be successful.
Only real gripe is the toilets which were old-fashioned non-flushing portaloos... Date of review: February 21, 2011
In short: Thanks to all involved at RRR In full: I regularly run the course route with club mates as a training run on quiet country roads, the first 5 miles are relatively flat with a few inclines in the next 5 miles. First time running the actual race (20) so big thank you to all the enthusiastic marshals who became even more vocal when thanked for their efforts/time & people manning the water stations.
Lots of support at the 2/9/12/19 mile crossroads junction - my family were there which perked me up each time we passed. Each and every runner was incredibly friendly, made for a lovely atmosphere where the course was lacking supporters.
I agree with Weevil - the guy practicing his golf swing scared me a bit - was glad he was gone on the second lap!
I had an excellent morning out in Bramley and would definitely do this again next year (just don't tell my legs) - it's 10 minutes from my front door so it would be rude not to! Well organised at the start and finish, great goody bag and a medal. Well done RRR, see you next year!

In short: great 20 miler training run for marathons. Pretty flat. In full: Very well organised race. Was surpised how busy it was. I liked doing 2 laps of 10 miles and felt like the first lap was a warm up and the second a race! Lots of drinks stations and plenty of marshalls, thanks to the organisors. Quite a long walk to the overflow car park (1 long cold mile) - will bring warm clothes for after next time! Date of review: February 21, 2011
