In short:
In full: I entered this race for the first time this year. I am a complete amateur and have only been running 6months and I really struggled with the very hilly race but absolutely loved it once i had finished in quite a respectable begginers time. Lovely medal and I would do it again but with much more hillwork training. Good family fun.

In short: Wonderful, friendly, well organised. Me, I'll run 10k any day for a medal, a banana, and a massive bag of jelly babies!
In full: For my first 10k, that wasn't bad at all! Kind of hilly though, I wonder if they're all like that? Manageable though, you know you're going to get that rotten hill at the end, as it's the one you shot down at the start! Very friendly village atmosphere, great marshalling...I'll definitely be back!

In short: Save a gasp or two for that hill at the end...
In full: The heaviest rain held off and in the end we just had a cooling light drizzle. Unavoidably for this part of the world there are hills, and when you're shooting off downhill at the start you would do well to remember that you'll be coming back up that same hill right at the end! But the village makes you feel very welcome and organisation was very good, coping well with the conditions which required a late change of car park location. And you get a bottle of water AND a banana AND a bag of jelly babies! Nice!

In short: A well organised event in an attractive village
In full: This is a well organised event, held in an attractive Kent village, which has a pleasant community atmosphere. As Weald is on a hill the course inevitably spends most of the first 5km descending, leaving a long haul to the finish. The countryside helps to distract from the effort and the gradient is fairly shallow, except for the punishing slope just before the finishing straight.

In short: Difficult course but still had fun
In full: Being a beginner, I found this very challenging but ultimately rewarding and have heard the same comment made by many since. The marshals and locals were encouraging and the whole race was very well organised.
