In short: I felt like I had died and gone to heaven- best run ever!
In full: The scenery is positively breathtaking. I can't wait to do it again- despite the challenges involved..

I am going to run the Hardy Hike from Swanage next weekend - (9 Sept) - not quite so spectacular but still fantastic. See Dorset Wildlife Trust for details.

In short: The Dorset race to run
In full: First of all, loved it. The beast is the race to run in Dorset, if you like off road trail running with fantastic views.

I am from Kingston, and have lived in the area all my life. The one thing I would say, sitting in my mums garden afterwards, is that very few locals even know it was happening. She said it was a shame that the race didnt go through the village. It would be great if the race went through both worth and Kingston to allow the locals to support the event (even if most cottages are now holiday homes). In hot weather Im sure the hoses would be in demand.
Well done Poole AC

In short: Has anyone mentioned the steps?
In full: It earns it's name that's for sure.
The climbs are very hard in places especially the two sets of steps you go up, but the views when you get there are breathtaking. It's got to be one of the most scenic races in the country. The marshalls were out in force and very friendly and supportive, although the promised chair lift at the second steps - did I mention the steps? - never came!
This was my first time doing this race and I will definately be back again next year.
Well done to all involved, keep up the great work, it's a credit to you all.

In short: Brilliant race. Do it.
In full: Every year the Beast tries to devour you. It digs it's talons into your calves and it's hot stinking breath deprives you of oxygen, but you must fight it. You must slay The Beast. As you cross the finish line you can hear it's last guttual roar. The Beast is dead. by some magic power it lives again, grwoing in strength day by day untili 2006, when you must return and slay it again.
