In short: Tough course, excelent organisation/marshalling, lovely scenery
In full: Found this tough but very enjoyable, mostly run through the woods with plenty of ups and downs, managed to run it all tho. couple of steep climbs and descents and plenty of mud. only niggle were the road bits, first one seemed quite long, excellent marshalling they were everywhere and good signs, would do it again.

In short: Mark 2 to up the ratings. Great Challenging August run
In full: Having done the 10k several years ago (no longer running), I knew that it was tough and hilly. DON’T expect a PB, add 25 mins to that. Fantastic view and scenery but killer hills to attack. Well marshalled and nicely organised feel to the race. Will be doing this again next year.

In short: Tough, but enjoyable run, great for training
In full: Wow, I am fairly fit, but be under no estimation this is very tough going. I finished in 2 hours and normally do a half in 1hr30.

Good organisation & nice surroundings.

I found miles 7-10 particularly tough, you really don't have time to catch your breath on the flat sections because of all the tough and steep uphill sections.

Great challenge though and definate sense of achievement.

In short: An incredibly hard but enjoyable race.
In full: Not one to try for a good time on due to some sections requiring single-file up sheep-tracks and climbing up slippery slopes in the forest! But incredibly enjoyable and the ever-changing scenery helps take your mind off the pain...
Definitely back to take on the challenge again next year!!
