In short: sensation race - sensational organisation
In full: Fantastic organisation starting with the courtesy coaches and ending with the bag retrieval.

For a newbie, it was an incredibly tough race, but the friendly, chatty runners and suportive marshals got me through it.

2 tough hills @ 9M & 18M and an annoying headwind meant a huge sense of satisfaction coming down the home straight.

Definitely one for 2007

In short: Wonderfully organised, scenic and challenging, they need a name for that hill at 18. Hotdogs and Burgers at the finish were very welcome!

In short: Windy and undulating
In full: The wind was hideous - we can blame the local farmers for a lack of hedgerows that might have provided a modicum of shelter - but satisfying to get round.
And i agree on the bag retrieval - first class

In short: A tough race, but limited facilities.
In full: This is a well organised race through some beautiful countryside. The course is very challenging and is not a good one if aiming for a pb. The only problems I had with this race today were the limited changing facilities, which are fine for local runners, but not for people who travel for over an hour to get there. Also, there were no facilities for spectators whilst the race was in progress, i.e. covered shelter. If the race wishes to grow and raise more money for charity, then it needs to think about giving the spectators somewhere covered and warm to congregate so that they wish to return each year.

In short: Lots of ups and downs and a couple of horrid hills at 9 and 18 but good training for London! You'll need a running partner if you're slow as it's quite lonely ..... Did 3 hours 55 though - might not affect you!

In short: A new meaning for moderate hills! but a friendly well organised race
In full: Going well till 12 miles then crashed and burnt but kept going by some great people. Many thanks to the surveyor from London without your help I would have been overtaken by the local ramblers!
