In short: Turn me over I'm done!
In full: First time at this event and thought it was excellent. The intense heat threw any chance of a PB out of the window leaving me averaging 9.5 minute miles. My 5 year old daughter finished the Kids Kaper (a 1 mile race round the lake) triumphant in 9.5 minutes – Well done Sophie! Like everyone else I do hope the casualties are now well recovered and well done to those of you who stopped and helped them.

In short: Hot!!!!
In full: Hard work in that sort of heat, narrow at the start but the field spreads out quickly. Water stations well positioned. Great finish area, ideal for the whole family.

In short: The guy near the end with the hose pipe deserved a medal
In full: Very well organised given the blistering heat. Good support from the friendly marshals and hope all the hot weather casualties now recovered. Well done Hinckley Running Club

In short: Well organised and very scenic.
In full: Like everyone else - glad to get round in one piece in the heat. Second Personal worst! Undulating and scenic and on a cooler day one would enjoy the views. Well organised - with two comment: water stations well manned but felt first should have been 3miles rather than 4+, and perhaps a (better) contingency plan for expected casualties on a hot day - which had been forecast for a week. Thank you to all marshalls and helpers.

In short: Very hot and seemed a lot of uphill!
In full: Lovely course and well marshalled. To hot to take in the scenery and pay attention that the course deserves. Like most people I was just glad to get round in one piece and sincerely hope all those in difficulties have recovered - it was like running in a furnace! Would also like to join in the thanks to the bloke with the hosepipe - what an inspired thing to do, pure genuis!!!
Only minor observation could the signposting to the event be improved, being a towny I just followed the heavy traffic and got to the venue more due to luck and "herd instinct"!

In short: The man with the hosepipe saved my life.....
In full: Beautiful course, and very well organised. The whole day had a great family atmosphere. The start was a bit narrow so took a while for people to space out, and there were a lot of club runners which could be intimidating for a beginner. The weather was tooooo hot, but that is not the organisers' fault, and the well manned drinks stations helped, as did the man with the hosepipe towards the end. The weather seemed to take a few people out, have never seen so many casulties and hope that they have all recovered now. I took my time and got a PW but am pleased to have finished in one piece and claimed my t-shirt with all runners' names on the back. Overall a very good race.

In short: Goes from strength to strength. One of the best Half Marathons.
In full: Was worried by the extra numbers, but didn't encounter any organisation issues. Great venue. No problems at start (although I was up near the front). There seemed to be plenty of water on a very hot day. Lots of marshals and helpers. Well done Hinckley Running Club.

In short: Hot, hot, hot!!
In full: Great organisation and lovely scenery. Agree with last review that the temperature may it pretty much impossible to push for a PB. Water stations worked really well given the weather conditions and massive demand! Hope everyone who needed first aid due to the weather is ok. ps thanks a million to the guy with the hosepipe near the end - you are a life saver. Looking forward to the run next year.
