In short: A good fast race to start the year
In full: I see that one or two people are claiming the course was long on their GPS's.
In a course measurement article published last year- it was found that Gps results had an inaccuracy of between 0.08 and 2.2 %.
The main reason that the average GPS can't be trusted is that the "blue line" shortest route is hardly ever followed by us mere mortal runners.--(I do use a Gps and have never got it to exactly the distance)
Overall a good race.

In short: Pretty average all in all.
In full: As other people have commented it was a disorganised start, with many runners not knowing where the start line was and then being pushed to one side minutes before the start in order to let some cars through.

I registered on-line a few weeks before the race but was still given a handwritten number - which was a bit disappointing as I keep them as mementos. The t-shirt was ok, if you like one-size-fits-all-as-long-as-you-are-huge t-shirts. I would personally prefer a medal or something similar though.

The pre-race could do with some refinements. I imagine the registration desks, toilets and changing are ok to find once you know from previous years where they are. But if you don't then expect to wander around a huge leisure centre for some time trying to find them.

The course itself was ok, nothing special in the way of scenery. Some parts of the course are on roads with both traffic and parked cars.

Parking was good, here seemed to be plenty of parking available across the road form the leisure centre on the Uni campus.

In short: Great race as usual
In full: Great race as usual. Not sure why the organisors diverted all runners onto the road on the penultimate corner but I'm sure there must be a good reason.

In short: Dreadful Start area fast course
In full: As other reviewers stated the start was shambolic and the course was over on the gps.On the plus side this is a good value race with helpful pleasant mmarshalls and the course itself is pure speed.

In short: Well worth the trip
In full: Having done this race 5 times now, I know that the start is a bit disorganised but being a slow runner I know my place is near the back. Just a pity some slower runners don't! Nice to mmeet up with friends after the new year and no doubt I will be back next year.

In short: Nice flat one - good for achieving PB
In full: Only comment really is the speed bump at the end of the race was a real danger. Some unfortunate runners actually fell.

In short: Over The Moon!
In full: Overall fantastic race. What happend at the start? Seemed a little dis-organised with people crashing and falling. Grid lock seemed to clear around mile 1 and no further problems there after. Thanks to all the spectators the cheers are ery welcome especially near the end it makes you keep going. Marshalls excellent job and for braving the cold. T-Shirts are nice - Any chance of medals in the future at all?
