In short: An absolute shambles, I've never done a more badly organised race

In short: Organisation was terrible
In full:
The queues for collecting chips and the toilets were unbelievable and made the race start late. Given the time of year and the hanging around in the cold this was far from ideal.

If you wanted water mid-race you needed to wait for a cup to be poured by one lady manning the post.

At the end it was not possible to cross the finish line as the funnel had backed up. Therefore the wave I was in will not have recorded the correct time. It was also not very pleasant all the runners being squashed in at the end. Post 10K run is probably the best time to be given a bit of space.

In short: Good course, poor organisation & facilities
In full: The course is a good one for beginners and fun runners as it is straight forward and scenic, especially as most of it is along the Thanmes. While the marshalls were friendly and individually helpful there were insufficient of them at the beginning of the race and this was the MAIN reason (although I acknowledge there were train delays)for the race starting late. There were only 10 portaloos and the queues for these and to register were very long and caused runners to get very cold and despondent before the race had started.

In short: 'Oh deer' what a joke if only I was laughing...
In full: ... if it had been sunny I wouldn't have minded the delayed start and long queues, sadly it was freezing.

The run itself was pleasant enough and the runners friendly. Felt sorry for the volunteers as they were woefully short staffed but very polite and friendly considering the amount of grumbling they would have heard.

In short: It was kind of like the race director slept in..
In full: No one was there trying to take control. The staff that were there, trying to do their best, were mostly great but they had no leadership. Big lack of judgement on the size of the facilities - should have been more loos, bigger baggage area, a larger finish catchment area & some form of loud speaker/PA system/music setup. The organizers obviously don't run a lot. All that said I would just like to add,'Runners-get there a bit earlier, you know who you are!

In short: Nice running along the tow path but shocking organisation
In full: Ok the positives - Arrived over an hour early and luckily didn't have to queue for too long to collect chip!! The last half of the race running alongside the Thames was nice, thankyou for the banana, drinks & choc chip bar. The negatives - Not enough loos, not enough people issueing chips, late start (actually didn't even hear a start everyone just ran off!!) running along the pavement alongside a busy road was rubbish and too busy, not enough marshalls almost had to stop twice for turning cars!! Water station (well not sure why they bothered but I did pity the 1 marshall that was trying her best to pour the water!) Finish line worst i've ever experienced couldn't even get across the chip matts! Had to wait the other side of the line for the queues to move and stopped dead after sprinting for the finish! Ouch!! Alot to learn!! I will not be returning!!

In short: Poor organisation, no communication, disappointing
In full: Thank goodness we arrived early cos latecomers had no chance in the queues for loos (not enough), baggage deposit and registration. Probably not enough marshalls and bad communication. There was no explanation for late start and when the PA system did kick in, couldn't hear it. T shirts - plain. Best bit was the banana. Sorry won't be returning.

In short: The worse event I have ever attended! Poor organisation (30 min wait to get chip and then 30mins to check in bag) in the meantime the race started with half of the runners not ready!

In short: The organization was a total shambles. I even had trouble crossing the finish line as there was actually a queue for the medal etc at the finish line. Theoretically, should be a good route for a PB but lack of road closure, sparce
In full: I even had trouble crossing the finish line as there was actually a queue for the medal etc at the finish line. Theoretically, should be a good route for a PB but lack of road closures, sparse marshalling and wet/narrow roads put paid to that. I even had to stop after 2k to wait for a coachload of schoolkids to get off a coach! Should be re named - `Oh Dear` Park 10k!!
