In short: Brutal but fun In full: Nothing can prepare you for the steps. Nothing. As far as I could tell there were no flat parts at all. But despite how incredibly hard this race is, it's enormous fun. Great atmosphere, encouraging stewards and a real feeling of achievement on finishing. A proper challenge. In short: Best Race I've Ever Done In full: This really was the most enjoyable race I have ever taken part in. By far the toughest too – as a first time runner of the course, you just can’t prepare yourself enough. But what makes this race different is that it truly is an accomplishment to finish it. The race was very well organised and the support from other runners was enormous. I will definitely come back next year and try shave a few minutes off. Can’t wait for it! In short: does what it says on the T shirt In full: 4th one for me I think and hopefully many more to come. Was exactly as expected but no less an event for that. You have to do it to fully appreciate it but all the reviews generally the same-great fun, great organisation, really great spirit within the race, lots of encouragement and spot-on marshalling. There are not many races where I can say I got my jaffa cake and jelly baby strategy wrong but this is one of them. Also am getting faster (ignoring my Olympic debacle last year) so I should win this race sometime around 2024 when I'll be 58. Roll on the knacker cracker. Date of review: June 23, 2013
In short: Another excellent Trionium experience In full: Super race, brutally tough, great camaraderie, excellent organisation, brilliant memories and a carrot at the end! What more can you ask for? Roll on next year.... Date of review: June 23, 2013
In short: Perfect - have been smiling ever since In full: A great day out. The final ascent of the steps seemed much harder than the first! Impeccably organised, enthusiastically marshalled and everyone looked like they were having fun. Dr Rob even offered me a lift at the end - hero.
Bring on the picnic 2014! Date of review: June 23, 2013
In short: Fantastic race on all levels In full: From start to finish a brilliant race. Great camaraderie, excellent support. It hurts like hell afterwards but nothing compares to the frill of finishing. Date of review: June 23, 2013
In short: Thank you Dr Rob - 2nd Trionium and loved every minute In full: I don't think you can endure such a tough 2h 30 mins and yet love every minute.. Love the start and Dr Rob his jovial self, as he looks down on us fool-hardy runners about to set off, to all those wonderful marshals, to all my fellow runners, who clearly know what they let themselves in for but love every minute of the madness, to the views (absolutely stunning when you have the energy to take a look at), to those final never ending steps, and finally to that amazing run down to the finish line, crossing it, and knowing what you have just achieved.... Can't wait till next years !!!!! Thanks again Dr Rob.......... Date of review: June 23, 2013
