In short: The hills were blotted out by the glorious scenery and perfect weather! In full: What a fantastic day! I enjoy this event more every year, but you need to treat the course with respect in view of the toughness.
Ideal warm-up to BHM in 2weeks. "The North Face" and "Big W" are immence and should still be feared.
The South Downs is such a wonderful area, and you feel honoured to be allowed to run in such a special place. The rolling hills, windmills, coastal views, roaming cattle (and the odd bull) and sheep, and welcoming marshals cheered me and made me wonder whats there to worry about,.
As soon as next year's event is annouced, my entry will be in the post!
Thanks again to the organisers/helpers/marshals/supports! Date of review: October 15, 2006
In short: Blimey ! That was tough but so so enjoyable ! In full: Not being a country boy running through fields of sheep and cattle was interesting...unlike the SNAKE ! Great event, however some facilities (i.e. toilet?) would be good. Date of review: October 17, 2005
In short: Beautiful - Challenging - well organised In full: Great course, with most (but not all) hills in the first half. The views are amazing, especially with hills being bathed in hazy sunshine. Very friendly organisation and generous prizes. Loved it! Date of review: October 17, 2005
In short: Glorious weather and glorious hills! In full: The course has changed slightly this year and could have done with a bit more in the way of markers. Unfortunatly the local farmer had removed some markers which didn't help! Few more marshalls would have been welcome. Apart from this another great Jog Shop 20, the new date works well.
