In short: Great race, nice route, well marshalled, well worth the trip!
In full: Just about as flat as you can hope for in Dartmoor, lots of water stations and friendly marshalls. 'Cheeky little' hill at about 12 miles. My friend and I both measured it at 13.3 miles on GPS?? Fairly small field which was a shame but with four race distance options you're spoilt for choice! Definite PB potential. Thank you organisers

In short: Moving the race to October enables the course to realise it's PB potential.
In full: Enjoyed overtaking the slower half-marathoners throughout the first lap, but also enjoyed the mental toughness required to run a very lonely second lap. I particularly enjoyed stopping the watch for a sub 3:30 to record my fastest marathon for nearly 10 years, which demonstrates that the course will reward endeavour with fast times.

In short: VERY DISSAPOINTED THAT YET ANOTHER RACE THAT HAS ADVERTISED A MEDAL AND A T-SHIRT SUBSTITUTES THE T-SHIRT WITH A VERY POOR 'NOVELTY' GIFT. THE T-SHIRTS ARE WELL EARNED AND PAID FOR SO WE DO EXPECT TO RECEIVE THEM!
In full: The course overall was very pleasant and no difficult hills (apart from a lond gentle one at 11 miles). Plenty of water stations and loads of marshalls which was realy good and they all were helpful and smiley pointing out the directions for Full, Half and 10k runners. Toilet facilities were very poor with the main toliets closed 'due to vandalism'??! the only toilets available were at the front of very long queues. A very well organised event that little could be done to improve upon... apart from making sure that if t-shirts are advertised they should be given. A very rubbish canvas draw string bag is not much of a momento or substitute. The medal was very nice though.

In short: first time 10k-fab. Definitely hungry for more now!
In full: This was my first 10k and I loved it. The scenery was ok, quite pretty in places, although KIngsteignton isn't particularly attractive. The organisation was excellent. The weather was very hot and there's a killer hill which challenges you towards the end but there's a good amount of water and sponges and the marshalling is excellent.

In short: ok
In full: Was ok, conditions very hot and just enough water/sponge stations. Not sure about mile markers - seemed at random intervals (Garmin forerunner measured). Though a little steep to ba asked to pay for T-shirt when race info said T-shirts to all finishers

In short: Did the half-marathon. Hottest day of the year by far. Total respect to those completing the full marathon.
In full: So hot on the day I decided after a few miles to just treat this one as a Sunday morning endurance training run. Truth of the matter was that I couldn't keep it going and threw in the towel in terms of a decent time. With a course offering little shade my survival strategy included plenty of walk breaks and lingering longer at the many water/sponge stations. It was a very well organised/marshalled/signposted/friendly event, though support was predictably slim for long stretches. Enjoyed the grandstand finish, but regret not bringing my shades and a hat for protection. Look forward to doing this one again next year when hopefully conditions are more conducive to running. Definitely has pb potential. Hope the Rotarians raised pots of money for a worthwhile charity.
