In short: The people of Chester should be proud of themselves.
In full: Amazing support from everyone and very well organised race. My only gripe was the advertised flat course wasn't that flat. Oh and my other gripe, if you want bottles put in bins you need to open the bin lids first. Apsrt from that great race, albeit a bit challenging towards the end.

In short: fast well organised marathon if you do one marathon or its your first then this is a must do race
In full: My fifth marathon today and what a day. This marathon has it all. Pre race communication and booklet excellent.
Parking at the course was great. The course is flat and fast in the first half. The last 8 miles are more undulating with a few hills, especially the hill at 24. The support of the crowds (who all knew your name due to your name being on your number)and the superb marshalls was positively uplifting. This event will soon be hard to get into. Who needs London when you have Chester. Will be back in 2012. Well done Chris and Andy

In short: Awesome!
In full: First full marathon, and so glad with my choice. The organisation was impeccable, and the support around the route was so inspiring. Wasn't sure when I saw my name on the number, but actually hearing strangers calling out your name and willing you along made a massive difference.
Finishing at the racecourse worked well - nice place for the family to watch you come in.
I'll be back (despite saying this was going to be a one-off!).

In short: A great marathon for anyone!
In full: This was going to be my 6th and last marathon but I had such a good time I may do it again! The course was great, scenic and varied. The support from marshalls and residents was fabulous, even people with their own little juice stations and jelly babies. Lovely feel to this race and the racecourse start and finish was great. Thank you!

In short: Best organisation I've ever seen at a race
In full: Wow, this was an amazingly organised race. Brilliant facilities at the racecourse (athletes village), well catered aid stations, great medal, technical t-shirt and goody bag and even the race director shaking you hand at the end!!! Surely he didn't stay there for the whole 3000+ runners? I couldn't have hoped for a better run marathon. Relatively flat course with two slight inclines one at 17 miles and one at 24. The one at 24 felt a lot bigger than it actually was (45 feet, according to Garmin). I'll say it again, amazing organisation, thanks.

In short: Excellent but hilly and undulating back 10 miles
In full: Found it hard from Farndon onwards but the support made a massive differance, would recomend for all types of runners will be back next year hopfully minus a stincking head cold which added 25 mins to my target time, still hasn't put me off trying next year.

In short: Well organised, reasonably scenic and quite flat
In full: I thought it was a really well organised race. Good use of the racecourse (which was easy to get in and out of), a reasonably scenic route (most of the time), good crowd support, lots of loos and drinks stations, good medal and technical t-shirt, plenty of communication with the organisers in the run-up to the event (I never went to the training runs, but great idea) - organisers of other events should study this carefully as there are plenty of things they could pick up from this.
