In short: Holiday run
In full: Very nice run - scenery was superb and the marshalling was A1 . plenty of drink and sponge stations - facilities at club were very good . Rain came down when I reached the 12m mark and the finish into the football ground was very slippery . Runners were very friendly and I'm glad I did this race on the middle sunday of my holiday - Achieved 8 minutes off my personal best time (position 250th ) . Thanks to all at great yarmouth road runners

In short: I really enjoyed this (although my legs tell a different story!)
In full: No real hills, in terms of gradient, although quite a few uphill drags along the way. Nice route through Somerleyton Hall, which I am sure is lovely if I hadn't been too knackered at that point to look properly. A couple of the mile markers were a little off I thought, but don't really care too much about that.

Well marshalled, and plenty of drinking stations, and the sponges were very welcome.

And, best of all, the first race I have done where the queue for the ladies at the race HQ was shorter than the mens!

In short: Really well organised run through some attractive scenery. Nice and challenging but not too hilly and hence a good beginners race

In short: Country Lanes. Lots of long slow gradients. Excellent organisation.
In full: This race is like the drawings that show 4 sets of stairs, all connected, and they go continuously up. With a start and finish in the same place and most of the race climbing there had to be some downhill somewhere, only there wasn't (ok, logically there must have been but you get my point). Can't help feeling it might be better run the other way about ? Not hilly, but lots of mile long straight bits that are just enough uphill to make you push and leave you believing there is a down soon, which there never is. Excellent organisation and a grand finish. Plenty of well placed water and excellent marshalling.
