In short: Very enjoyable race In full: After having to withdraw from the Great North Run in September, I entered the Llandudno 10 as I wanted to do something with the training I'd put in and I only live 10 miles away from Llandudno.
I didn't know what to expect of the course - especially as the route crossed the main roads in/out of town. The organisation that went into it was fantastic, and the stewards were exceptionally encouraging.
I really enjoyed the whole experience and have been inspired to seriously consider entering other races mentioned in the goody bag for my own satisfaction, rather than for fund-raising. Date of review: November 22, 2005

In short: my second ever race excellent fun! In full: This was my second ever race. Excellent organisation. There were about 1300 people in the race and it still went like clockwork, ok bit of a cue for the toilets but hey, i shouldn't have arrived late! Goodie bag at the end was most pleasent suprise, never got one of those when i used to cycle race... Hope to be back next year. Date of review: November 18, 2005

In short: Superb conditions, good atmosphere, I recommend this race. In full: My first 10 mile race, there should be more of this distance, it felt much faster than a half marathon, more like a stretched out 10K. I was near the front at the start and was impressed by the speed of the better runners. Nice and scenic in parts, only 2 uphill sections, nothing too severe, with the 2nd one leading to a nice downhill into the last mile on the prom with a good crowd to see you home. Well marshalled and organised, the only slight criticism being the 2 water stops. I would prefer a bottle than a paper cup, I spilt most of it! A fast race, I was expecting 76-77 minutes, but came in at 70, which is what I would normally take for 9 miles. Looking forward to doing this one again next year. Date of review: November 18, 2005
