In short: Tough for a beginner like me but still very enjoyable. In full: Beautiful rambling course through unspoilt woods. A few nasty hills to negotiate so make sure you train for this beforehand. I didn't! Date of review: July 5, 2005

In short: an enjoyable change from road races, which lives up to its multi-terrain description In full: This is a good race, with quite a few challenges. The weather was close to ideal which helped. Interestingly I was able to knock a minute off last year's time, but finished about 20 places further back. Date of review: July 4, 2005
