In short: Nice event but not really one for a PB
In full: A good race but would have been brilliant if the surface was uniform. Rocky sections meant more time was spent looking for safe footing than enjoying the scenery. I was a couple mins off my PB that I acheieved on a harder course a few weeks earlier at Whipsnade and I definitely found this one tougher.

One small adjustment might be useful would be to put different colours for the 5K and 10K race markers.

In short: Whilst nothing can be done about the wind, the course was very loose underfoot in parts.
In full: In addition, I'm not 100% convinced on this race within a race. The 5k tail-enders tended to run within mini groups which meant you had to weave in and out between them to pass as they didn't understand that they were blocking the racing line. Generally well organised though the marshal handing out water might have been better off watching what was going on on the 2nd lap rather than trying to chat up some girl. Luckily I didn't want water anyway, but that's not the point!

In short: Well organised and scenic. Vulnerable to the wind!
In full: My first time at this event. It was small but felt welcoming. I hoped it would be a PB course, but like many the wind was a killer. The location is VERY open. Pick a still day! Organisation was spot on. Impossible to get lost! Running the 5k and 10k in parallel seemed to work well. The tail-end of the 5k runners certainly gave me some people to chase down in the closing lap of my 10k.

In short: Another good workout
In full: Once again a very enjoyable, well presented race. The times suffered a bit due to the warm weather and sun, and strong wind. My 50 min pace fizzled out after hitting the wall of wind at 5km. I was pleased my brother was there to pass me a drinks bottle after the first lap, or I would have suffered on the last lap.

In short: Fast and friendly
In full: Tis ius a great race series that has been really well run. As other reviewers have noted the course is almost always very windy and the surface can be rough in places which can slow you down, that said it's flat and generally has good PB potential.

In short: Expected to get close to PB, but ran my slowest ever 10k! Wind + loose surface the main challenges.
