In short: Nice, trail-like run
In full: I'd recommend this - did it last year. Rained and was muddy and a bit slippy for a lot of it, so trail shoes could be advised on the website. "East Neuk" also made me think initially that it would be coastal, but internal and very much farm land. Friendly and a great part of the world.

In short: Great first race
In full: Since this was my first race I didn't know what to expect, it was rather good, well organised, people seemed very friendly and the food afterwards was just what I needed!

The Scenery would have been around there is great, only spoiled by the weather!

Most of all enjoyed it and will do it again next year, this race has spured myself and others in my office to enter more races in the future

Cheers

Jan

In short: same friendly race by the Haddies.
In full: race run on farm roads and tarcks. although advertised as multi terrain, only about 2 k was really what one might call off road rest of the route was good tarmac farm roads. out and back meant I knew what to expect on the way back which was a bonus given the really wet weather prior to the race. really friendly and welcoming with a good feed after. with spot prizes and a kids race it makes for a welcoming atmosphere. will be back

In short: Always my hardest race, but don't know why!
In full: Good race to do again but not one of my faves, I have realised I prefer round the big city runs or country road surfaces rather than stony paths or muddy tracks.
Also I like one complete route and not there and back routes.

In short: Great fun
In full: Luckily the torrential rain eased off just before the start, plenty of puddles along the route and a killer stretch of mud - was sure I would be the one to fall, thankfully didn't. All added to the atmosphere, definately be back next year.

In short: Should be advertised as a multi terrain race
In full: My hopes of a late season -and hard trained for- vet 10k pb slipped away from me in the mud. Although the course is fairly flat, very heavy rain had turned the farm tracks that make up a large part of the route into deep puddles and mud. The return leg of the out and back course, after taking the traffic of all the runners on the outward leg, was slippy and where I hoped to be gaining some time as I neared the finish, I was losing time as I slithered about.

In short: Terrible weather - all else fantastic!
In full: Loved it - first time I'd done the East Neuk 10k. Feared this morning it might even get cancelled, drove up from Strathkinness through all sorts of floods and mud. Thankfully the weather eased up for the hour or so of the race - my time was only slightly slower than I'd hoped for though. Overal, I loved it - really friendly, well organised, and seeing my five and three years old boys getting medals and a milky way in the fun run after was the icing on the cake. Thanks to Anster Haddies, the polis, the ambulance people, scouts, cubs and everyone else, and for the rest of the competitors for not staying away on such a dreich day.
